Do you think if i buy a fan it would help?
I've never had a problem with frezzing at all, until yesterday. I was playing wii sports and it just froze. Do you think that it could be from over heating ?

It could help if you buy a fan, but you'd need to activate it with wiiConntect 24 running. As for freezing, it could be from overheating. How long did you play for?

well i really never experienced this with my new wii....but with my old wii (before my friend pulled the gamecube controller and knocked it down breaking the fan) it did get really hot. but with my new wii this doesnt happen. it might b cause ill be connected online but peopel in my fam shut it off causing the usb connector to lose power. so what i do is connect my wii only about an hour a day to see if i got any updates or messeges.

I see. There's really no reason to keep it on anyway.

I actually turn off the console every night when going to sleep, but I always keep it on standby during the day, so the heat doesn't build up that much.

I turn mine off. No point in running the hardware for the odd chance of getting a message, which then causes that annoying light to flash. Besides that, I now have my system lay horizontally, and that side got hot even when it was vertical.
