Speaking to IGN at the E3 Media and Business Summit, Eisuke Yokoyama (producer of Revenant Wings) told IGN that they were very interested in the multiplayer function of the DS.

But then they also mentioned:

"Right now we're mostly interested in Wii Fit. We're really intrigued by it."

Not one to jump the gun, they also added:

"There are no actual plans to take Final Fantasy into the fitness genre, but that whole system and mechanism of using your weight and balance to control games is something we're interested in incorporating into future RPG titles."

It'll be interesting to see whether or not Square-Enix announces anything in development that uses the Wii Fit board.

Ive only just realised what potential Wii fit has

I hope it rocks because im buying it.

i'm trying to imagine an RPG with the balance board but its not working too well...

i'll leave it to square to decide what kind of game they're going to make

This is great for Nitendo. If a lot of developers want to use the balance board for their game Nintendo should be bringing in a lot of money.

I can't wait for the balance board to take people by surprise and catch on so I can laugh at all the nay sayers with a foot in their mouth.

Well so far I am thinking of all of the types of games LZ said like Snowboarding, Skiing, Skateboarding and I think more. I can imagine the board being used for more dancing games too.

What could the possibly do with the balance board in a RPG? If anyone can do it I guess Square can.

What if you use the Wiimote/Nunchuck at the same time? I could see that working.

Myself as well. Kind of like what they're doing with DDR: Hottest party.

Like in an RPG you could use the Wiimote/Nunchuck for main controls and maybe use the Board for certain attacks or something.

They could put FF-VII Snowboarding on the WiiWare channel and could go from there.

I'd like to see other developers use it as well.

The Board could be used for all sorts of sports game like Pizza said Boxing.
