The original isn't a good buy to begin with.

Anything better than any original is a better buy.

Well the redesign has improvements. Which makes the original crappy PSP much less crappy. But I'd wait before buying it.

The new one won't play homebrew most likely.
go for an older one, they'll be a lot cheaper now

That PSP is very sexy. I would honestly get that.

I want that. Now.

I'd rather have this:

(In case your wondering, that's an admin of a very inactive forum I was a part of for a while... all the admin's went to E3)
Hopefully we can do something like that someday!
*Wants to get their signatures and quickly sell the DS on Ebay*

Its slim, and can hook up to a T.V, and the load times are faster.

Yer but seriously. Why would you want to play your Psp on your tv? Thats what consoles are for. IMO. Wouldn't the games just look ugly on a big screen anyways?
07-19-2007, 10:52 AM
Yea I kinda think its pointless, because why would he show Spiderman 2, when most people already own the DVD?

yeah if i could get my hands on the FFVII Crisis Core PSP bundle i wouldnt think twice about gettin it since so far the word is that it will only be released in japan
, but i wouldnt get a regular PSP SLIM or wuteva you wanna call it, im good with the one i currently own...

Based on what I've heard the new PSP will be nothing more than a slimmer, lighter PSP, with TV output. The colors are nice but I really didn't mind the original. Yes, the new one is better but it's not that much of an improvement. Now I could wind up buying an original PSP though since the price is bound to drop a bit.

I'd like to see one of our members do a comparison between the changes from the DS---------->DSLITE and then do a comparison between the changes from PSP--------->PSP slim. Maybe then some people would stop talking about how few changes there are to the new PSP, because there are many more then the DS ever had.
I think if you'd ask most handheld owners, they love to play their system on a tv/monitor while at home...kind of like a "gameboy player" for the GC, but since the PSP will be able to do that now, everyone is looking down upon that option. How soon we forget.....sad.

Yea, the DS lite had a large cosmetic/physical change, with a brighter screen, while the new PSP has more features/internal changes. Both are great devices, IMHO.

^ Agreed. I think the reason why more people think the DS ----> DS LITE was a bigger change was because the origanal DS was quite ugly and phat. Then they brought DS LITE out which was small and stylish.
PSP Slim doesn't really offer a phisical change. And just has the new ability to show the games on the bigscreen.

But you see the thing is. The DS was worth buying even in its phat form. The DSLite merely gave it a smexier look.
The original PSP is not worth its price tag, and thus the upgraded Slim version still isn't appealing enough.
