Rockstar's Table Tennis game is heading to Nintendo Wii this autumn.

Developed by Rockstar Leeds in collaboration with Rockstar San Diego, "Rockstar Games presents Table Tennis" will presumably use the Wiimote like a table tennis racket.

"Ever since we released Table Tennis, fans have been asking us to create a Wii version," Rockstar's Sam Houser said.

"By bringing Table Tennis to the Wii and utilising the motion-sensitive Wii Remote, a new audience can now experience a game that is beautifully designed and impossible to put down."

We rather liked it ourselves, having given it a big score on Xbox 360. That version included online multiplayer, too, so hopefully we'll see that again.

I can't wait for this game to come to Wii. The Xbox 360 version was thoroughly enjoyable, and multiplayer was a real bash.

I love table tennis.
Cool. I probably wont get it just because i have a real ping pong table right next to my Wii anyways.
Yes but that wasn't official. All they said was "a 2nd rockstar game"
Table Tennis will be weird, it should have online at least.

Who knows, maybe like many third party wii titles, they'll kill the online play features

And how many online Wii games have you played?....

I'm talking about all the upcoming multiplatformey type of games.

"Oh, that's cool, so will the Wii version be online?"
"Duh, I dunno..."

example WWE Smackdown vs. RAW 2008
O I see, ok.
It's good and all, I know it will sell well on Wii.

That I believe will be online.

It isn't, it's been announced
If it has online, and it's under $50, I'll buy it.
I played it on XB360 and got hooked, so I'll definitely buy it on the Wii. I hope to god it has online.
IGN Hands-On

Quote:
The system is based on a three-tier gauge, which starts red, moves to yellow, and finishes green. Each time you fill the bar you'll engage in focus time, then moving to the next color once the bar depletes. Essentially this combo system is what separates the men from the boys, as focus shots can - and will - turn the tide in a moments notice. The only way to gain an edge on your rival is to charge your spins longer, wait until the ideal hit time for each shot across the entire match, and milk your focus meter for all it's worth.

As for the visual side of things, Rockstar Table Tennis is looking pretty good, but it won't blow away gamers that are coming off Metroid and looking forward to Mario Galaxy which looms on the horizon. It runs in 480p and 16:9, however and fills even the most nitpicky HD TVs to the very edge, leaving only an extremely small amount of black space; less than most Wii 16:9 games. The character models look good, and animation is fluid and pleasing to the eye. Players cast real-time shadows while playing, and there's even an available transparency mode which allows the more hardcore players to dull out their avatar, showing the entire table in an unobstructed view.

I think your right...

But hey, look at the 360 version, you see the sweat.

These games are the superlatives.

Online has been removed.

So I'm skipping over this game.
