'New scans of Super Mario Galaxy has surfaced and while many of the screens are the same ones from the E3 last week, there are about 3 brand new gorgeous screens. However the most important and intruiging part of the scan is pictures of what could be “new princess” to save. We say that because while it looks similar to Peach, the text says it is Rosetta.'

'Crowned and blonde, just like our fair Princess Peach, this new gal materialized in Famitsu's latest preview of Super Mario Galaxy. The Japanese magazine identifies her as Rosetta, but doesn't clarify whether or not her name bears any deeper meaning or relation to the famed translation stone.

Those of you who fear any drastic change to your beloved franchise or the expected routine need not worry -- Rosetta won't be replacing Peach's role in this intergalactic adventure. As has been stated several times since the game's announcement, Mario will be touring the cosmos in search of his kidnapped love, Ms. Toadstool.'


She's pretty. So far, all I've discovered is that she isn't a princess; she more or less gives Mario some power.

I'm not very clear on this, but I'd like to know more. :3

She is pretty and mysterious. I can possibly see her appearing in future Mario related titles.

I don't care what she is, I want her to replace Peach and I want her to do it now.

No sorry Cloud but on the Scan it said that it wasnt Peach and that she is just a different Princess in the game that isnt actually replacing Peach.

Bummer... She looks like a promising character, though.

Ya I guess its good that they are having a variety of characters. Who knows maybe she will make appearances in other games.

You never know. It's a step in the right direction; new faces are always good.

No one can replace Peach. I doubt she'll be THE new princess, but she might play a supporting role.

I saw those scans yesterday.. the game really is beautiful.
