Eventhough Reggie originally told us not to get our hopes up for Wii Ware before 2008, Nintendo's senior vice president of marketing and corporate communications George Harrison seems to think that a 2007 launch of the service could be possible.

He also mentioned that a few titles for the service are already in development. Whether he was speaking about all developers in general or just in-house Nintendo titles is un-clear. Harrison said that when Wii Ware will lauch will be determined by the developers. If they are ready this year, then Wii Ware could very well launch this year.

Wii Ware was announced not too long ago, and eventhough I don't believe it would take developers that long to create a game for the service, it could just be wishful thinking to hope to launch this year. The developers might need a little more time. I'm predicting a Wii Ware launch during Q2 2008. When do you guys think we'll be seeing Wii Ware games?

I think we could be seeing WiiWare games as early as Q1 of next year, since most won't be complex games, there won't be much to them.
