Hi this is CZMQFRG's Signature Portfolio. I am only a beginner, and have taken aboard the pointers which people have offered so here's my portfolio. I use The GIMP 2.0, and have found it very good to be honest. *Begs his brother to burn him a copy of PS-CS3*

My first ever sig. It is a blink-182 signature I made for myself:





My second sig. It is a Naruto/Gaara sig I made for suner52:

It's pretty good but it's doesn't have enough colors. You should find some tutorials. You might learn some things.

You are forgetting a great sig master known as Pizzaturdel. He is a professional animator so he rocks.

you didn't remove the bg from your inverted avatar and you can still see the square. use the magic wand and a 35 threshold to get rid of that to a nice level. since its b&w and depending on the quality of the original image you might be able to get away with 50

Very good for a beginner. Keep up the good work. Just use a bit more colour, maybe some more contrast.

Hmmm.. you need to work on blending the render/stocks a bit better with the background. And lighting of course. You want to have a focal point, then fade out to black-ish... a radial gradient works wonders for that.

what prog you using?

GIMP 2.0, and it does have a border. 6 pixels

adding a border in the GIMP is faster than PS...they have to selection-> Stroke, lol.

keep the border's smaller. 6px will be HUGE... I recommend on that second one. crop like, 8px off of the top and bottom. Add a border 8 px tall and 1 px wide. (the x's and y's...can't remember which is which atm.)

it gives it a cinematic effect.

also, multiple renders are quite often hard to pull off for anybody but gfx masters... generally keep it to one

You must download GTK+ 2 Runtime Environment which is on that same page. Make sure you download it before donwloading GIMP.

Your sigs, well since you don't have PS. I will not rate them, but I really hope you get PS, I got PS 7, and CS from a source.......:realhappy:
