According to Fils-Aime, who recently spoke with GameHead, those surprises are "still coming," however. "We announced at E3 a new channel, the Check Mii Out channel, and we still have plans [for more surprises]. But the surprise is coming...the surprise is coming...by the end of September," he said, referring to the availability of Check Mii Out.
By launching this new channel, Nintendo aims to expand on the global Mii phenomenon, and the two main parts of the free offering will be an area where players can post their own Miis, allowing the community to vote on their abilities; and then contests, where Nintendo will put the call out for Miis based on celebrities, and other themes.
it defo has more depth. it could become a trend or their could be comps to see who could make the best celeb mii. i still think its pointless though... wii ware should be good though
Thats a good idea. it would bring in extra sales if people liked it but then again everything has its pros and cons and if people dont like it the game would flop costing nintendo money, making technology restricted, making worse games, making nintendo go broke, making them unable to make games, making me cry.
That would be cool.
And demoing VC games would be cool, too.
(How many times have we heard, "oh, this is a classic!" and we end up disliking it? I wasn't very fond of Galaga or Pac-Man, which my mom would play for hours >.> )
The thing is guys, Nintendo doesn't want to reveal all the their plans within the first year of the their console launch. It's always stupid to be the first to make a move. Nintendo is waiting for Sony to show their hand before they show theirs.

I didn't think about that. But I'm not entirely sure why that makes sense. o.O

Why buy those when you can get Namco Museum for just about every platform. Even Wii is getting Namco Musuem Remix along with the classics.
LOL What? Very few games use the Mii feature and the few that do its more of a last minute thought than integration. Take for example the Big Brain Academy game where the facial recognition portion uses a pseudo mii face. Every other new game that "supports" Miis merely use them as an icon next to game data.
The customization possible with the current Mii setup is extremely small. Any character you want to create has already been made and all you need is a bluetooth dongle to get it.
Once the WiiSports fad wore off most Wii owners could care less about Miis, at least the ones over 20 years old.
I see this as a waste of space just like the Everyone Votes Channel. The internal memory of the Wii is limited as it is so why clutter it up with this junk? If you read some of the other boards you will see quite a few people who have already ran out of space on their Wii and have to delete programs because the SD card is essentially useless.
