Been getting back into my old library of classics while wating to get my hands of SSBB and i ran into my old copy of Deus Ex.
Picture a world where every conspiracy theory is real. every one of them. if it is in this game, someone thinks it has, or will, happen.
Very complex controlls, you are in the first person mode and you interact with every thing in this mode.
this game is one of the first games to feature the expanding reticle concept where if you move, your target zone increases. aka, the more you move, the more of a chance your bullet will miss.
Building your character has an RPG feal, you level up diferent stats... slap some in computer to hack for info and make nasty turrents your friend. slap some in weapons and the target retacle will stay stable.
Missions can be handled diferently too. There is the rambo way, shoot untill everything and there pets are dead, the sneak, plenty of vent shafts and other detours, and hacking, turn the enemies weapons against them.
I'm not going to get into Bio-Mods now but they also increase the feeling of power and individuality only seen in RPG's.
to find this game now, you have three options. Steam (might be the best since you can slap it in any comp), CD(EBay), or GameTap(wouldn't recomend, no room for mods). i've been puting custom graphic mods in mine and it almost rivles today's standards.
Deus Ex: Invisible War is also a good game but lacks the depth of the original... what it does do well is it cleans up the story arc of the first game.
Personal Recomendation: Get the game... eithor by CD or by Steam. (10$ on Steam... or 20$ which includes IW). this game's storyline is still one of the best out there.
