I found this on the thinkgeek site. Its a pot with soil and food that you use to grow a real 1up mushroom just like in your favorite Mario game. I can't quite figure out how its done but it sure looks great.

...isn't this technically advertising? even though it isn't real?
It is real and I guess it could be considered advertising but considering the subject isn't it appropriate?

Hmm kinda cool and weird at the same time.
interesting find, ciper!

he's just showing you something. he's not telling you to buy it nor is he profiting from showing you this link.

It could be real if it's one of those rubber toys that grow as they absorb water...
^Agrees. Either that or a foam one.
It's all looks feasible except the eyes, I have no idea how it's possible to engineer a mushroom so that two geometrical lines grow on one side

nope, ads are when they poster's trying to sell you something as opposed to showing it to you. Ads also cover web-masters trying to promote their own sites.

Maybe I secretly work for ThinkGeek muhwahahah Toungue

According to the description this is a living mushroom and not expanding foam. Still cant figure out how it works.
I might have to buy one just to see :/
I will look for videos on this to see how it works. If anyone buys it be sure to tell us how it works.
It was a joke. Try adding it to your cart. From April 1 a few years ago, but I thought they would have taken it down.
Lol... Well did anyone actually beleive this?
