This is off topic somewhat but I wonder if there was the possibility of adding the PJIRC client to the site? This would allow anyone to participate in a live chat without the need to code the software yourself or explain to others how to install/configure a client of their own.

I've used it in the past on other forums and it was great. One benefit was a cut down on off topic/spam in threads since the random discussion could be taken to live chat. It also helps to bring the community closer together since you get a better since of someones personality through real time interaction instead of static posts typed at an earlier time.
ha, we had one, but It got abused slightly so I removed it.
But don't worry, There is a Jabber-based on-site chat in the works

If you want to replace the current set of defaults, there needs to be 20 of them at the same dimensions and they need to match each other
