Attendees of last week's PlayStation Premiere 2007 event in Japan weren't permitted to film Hideo Kojima and crew publicly playing Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots for the first time, but, hey, this is the internet, dude. And the internet always wins. Meristation has first pics of the game being played by Kojima himself, SIXAXIS in hand.

Off-angle, of crappy quality, and blurry as hell, yes, but impressive nonetheless! Hopefully we'll know more about the game when tonight's Metal Gear 20th Anniversary party goes down. What will Konami announce? Will Kojima make more food analogies? Will Raiden and Vamp finally kiss? Tune in (late) tonight!

First Look at MGS4's Eva

One of the storyline-related bombshells Hideo Kojima revealed during his Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots presentation at the Metal Gear 20th Anniversary party this afternoon was the return of Eva, a crucial character from Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater. How does she factor into the story? Who knows, but she's sure aged well.

I'm not sure if I agree...I don't think she looks all that hot, but I didn't play MGS3 either so maybe she looked a little rough in that game too.

I believe GameVideos is having server problems. The video won't stream for me, and their site won't either. I'll check back soon

It works for me and I'm using Firefox. I'd guess that there's tons of traffic for this video, so maybe that's an issue, but like I said above, it's streaming for me just fine.

This game is going to be the video game equivalent of sex. It simply looks that good. IGN summed it up when they said "you are going to buy Metal Gear Solid 4"

Because now... I will. I will buy a PS3 for this game.

I also noticed something. He is like try to be stealthy and everything but then he stands up and use a sniper rifle. I am confused..

Could it be the person playing the game having a brain fart. I'm guessing the AI in the game will be amazing so if you and I did that ingame, we'd be sure to loose our heads.

Lol im also a little bit confused, at first he was going round taking out the guards and whatever. Then when they are under attack he helps them. I think.... I wasn't 100% sure what was going on to be honest. Non the less it looks amazing.

hes helping out the militia men, and hes taking out the PMC troops...

Thanks for the explaining. I wasn't paying enough attention to what was going on. I was just admiring the amazing graphics!

this game looks amazing.

I'll tell you what would be awesome. Using the sixaxis controller and tilting it left and right when someone was fighting you in hand to hand combat and avoiding either their punches or a knife to the body. This game is gonna be a gem so I think everything's on the table and it's gonna blow all of us away.

I think the coolest part of the vid was when he used his camo to look like a statue.

If you get a chance download the HD trailer.....I did that and played it full screen on my 20 inch widescreen monitor, and it is simply beautiful.

Finally, a reason to buy a PS3. Now if only it were 2008 already.
