My guess about Brawl online is that they don't want to talk about it online because they want to make sure it works as well as it should first. Yes, Sakurai had mentioned it working for 2P in the past, but if they keep talkin about it, promising it, only to find that it doesn't work as well as they hoped in the final game... then they have a real bad situation on their hands.

I'm gonna pretend that there is no surprise coming in September. I was one of the people who thought that last year's "surprise" was going to be something awesome and was extremely disappointed. Don't get me wrong, I love Mario and all but I've played the game so many times and could get it online if I really wanted to play it and I was expecting something more. Hell, six months later and I'm still begging for more options for the Mii channel or a proper music channel...
I agree. I would have bought it but I took out the old N64 and beat the game about a month before the release of it on the VC.

Well Nintendo's new game Endless Ocean will allow you to do that. It's a game that allows to explore the depths of the ocean and find hidden treasures. There's even an online co-op mode.

No I don't think it is because the Japanese name is Forever Blue, while for us it's Endless Ocean.
