i watched the preview clip and it looks interesting. obviously one can't tell yet, but just from the preview, i wonder if someone will have to do a lot of map explorering or walking around talking to people and then have the action sequences be few and far inbetween. either way, if this game lives up to it's hype...it should be good.

Mass Effect is going to be one of teh best games of all time, no doubt in my mind. It's BioWare taking the algorithum used making KOTOR, and making it much more freeform and in-depth. The graphics will be incredible. I especially like the way they model eyes/eyelashes and face structure--it actually makes them look realistic instead of cartoonish.
Definately a must buy if you have a 360.

like all things, video looks great, but we'll give a final verdict once the game is out. i hope it's great, but i've been fooled before, so we'll just see.

I have an Xbox, I've played KOTOR, and it sucks, at least in my opinion. Yes, I'm a big RPG fan so don't blame it on that. Mass Effect looks alright. Nothing special. Good graphics, and that's about it.

KOTOR doesn't suck. Keira Knightley--now that, that is something that sucks.

Hahaha. But I didn't like KOTOR. Slow battles, bad story. The customization was pretty cool though.

That's why Mass Effect is better. KOTOR had D&D style battles while ME is more action oriented.

how far did you play? because i got used to controls and battle system fairly quick. which made for some intense battles. they're only slow when you're pausing and chosing your next move in that manner. story was alright; obvious plot and climax.

LOL I didn't even notice he said bad story. To be honest unless you've beat it, you can't comment on the story. Why? Becaues IMHO the story of KOTOR is better than the entire cumulative story of the Star Wars movies.

Really? I made it up to some watery planet full of fish people, and you have to save some guy on a trial. Or something like that.
