Forget the rumors, the rumbling and the chatter. There is evidence that Metal Gear Solid 4 is a PS3 exclusive. Hard evidence. Hit the jump for the top ten reasons why you won't be seeing MGS4 on the Xbox 360. For now, at least.

1). Jack and Hideo said it was an exclusive at E3. In front of many people and on stage, even. Jack later told us to our collective face.

2). Kaz sent flowers for the Metal Gear 20th Anniversary Party. Sending flowers for events like this is a Japanese custom. Street Fighter II creator Yoshiki Okamoto sent flowers, too. Kaz's were prettier, though.

3). Sony sent Hideo a gaming cake and booze for the MG 20th Party. Gaming cake? Serious.

4). Kojima Prods. have stated that MGS4 was being developed especially for PS3 hardware.

5). Sony is producing the Metal Gear Solid movie.

6). The Metal Gear 20th Anniversary cell phone is a Sony product.

7). At the Metal Gear 20th Anniversary Party, Phil Harrison appeared in a video letter. I didn't really hear it because I was too busy trying to talk to the Microsoft Japan honcho.

8). Hideo told Luke it was for the PS3. No way he could lie to Luke. No way.

9). Snake uses a SIXAXIS in MGS4.

10). See numero uno.

*What do you think? Do all of these reasons put the rumor to rest that MGS4 will be a PS3 exclusive or do we just love rumors so much we won't let it die?

To be honest I think the PS3 needs this exclusive, and I hope it stays an exclusive aswell. Is the 360 capable of those amazing graphics? Probably.

Remember those days when the Super Nintendo and Sega Genesis were king?  The SNES could produce far more colors then the Genesis, but Sega found interesting ways to make up for the difference and made some games that were on par with the SNES (talking about the same game on both consoles)

I'm sure Microsoft could pull something off, but honestly I hope they won't get the chance.  I want to see this stay with the PS3.

True, as much as I want to play this game I think the PS3 desperately needs this game as an exclusive to give people a reason to buy the PS3. A movie is really cool too.

I've owned several Sony Ericcson phones, and currently have one now, and I'm interested in seeing what the Special Edition MGS phone looks like...not that I plan on actually buying it.

They've already said MGS4 is PS3 only..many times.

I still think in a couple years, or months after release it will be Announced for the 360, Microsoft wants that game badly, and PS3 doesn't and can't let it go away.

Good point Cloud, I guess we'll just wait and see what happens to the game. I wouldn't be at all surprised if the 360 gets it's own exclusive MGS game sometime in the not too distant future.

On a side note, there's already been an 11th reason why MGS4 Is PS3 Only. Whoever finds it and adds it to this thread will get 2 REP points.

Nope there's actually there's actually an article that specifically talks about the 11th reason.

No seriously. He said himself at E3 that this will be the end of MGS4.

Let's not forget there's a phone version coming out, and God knows what else...generally every series comes back when the creators know they can make more cash off the series. Maybe they're thinking people will have MGS fatigue and just lay off for a couple years?

i think in one or two years they'll just make another version of MGS4 with extra content or something like that, kinda like what they did with twin snakes, substance, subsistence, and PO+.....MGS SHALL NEVER DIE! ! !
