Hey all,
I'm rather new to pokemon and I have a few questions. My first game was Diamond, which I completed, and now I have PBR as well.

1) How can I get some of the pokemon from the older games added to my pokedex? I see them on PBR on the rental passes, but that doesn't get them to my diamond pokedex.

2) What is the best way to get my current pokemon to lvl 100? I can't imagine that the best way to get xp is to kill the wild lvl 50's around the battle tower. Are there better xp/higher lvl pokemon areas?

3) In wi-fi battles, is your pokedex updated? Do you gain xp during those battles? I've wanted to do a wi-fi battle, but can never find anyone online.

4) Why do some of my pokemon get "boosted" xp and others don't?

That's all I can think of now. Any answers and help are greatly appreciated. Thank you all in advance.

You do not gain exp. points and your Pokedex is not updated during Wi-Fi battles. Traded pokemon gain boosted (more) exp. points. I do not, to my knowledge, know of a way to update your pokedex through PBR. All the areas on the Battle Tower island have diffrent pokemon, but i have not heard of pokemon anywhere (excluding legendaries) that are higher that the island pokemon, which is around the lv.50. Hope i helped.
This is the easy way to get your Pokemon to level 100. First, train in Victory Road, while equipped with an Exp. Share. When your pokemon reaches level 70, start training at the Elite Four. None of the Elite Four pokemon are that high, but it is better to be stronger than all of them to further ensure your victory. It worked for me, and it should work for you. Good Luck! Big Grin
1) You must transfer some of them from the game boy advance pokemon via the DS's dual slot function. Some also come from the gamecube Pokemon games.

2) See NYR77's post above.

3) I'm pretty sure your pokedex is updated when you go on Wi-Fi, but I'm not sure if you gain Xp.

4) Pokemon you recieved from trades will gain boosted xp.

Hope I helped Smile
Here's a good tip. Before transfering Pokemon from Pal Park, equip them with items from your other games that you want to use in Diamond or Pearl. I transfered stones, and my surprisingly unused Master Ball.
You transferred teh ball of Masters?!?!1? How could you!
Bah, jk.
The stones are really good things to transfer if you're not very fond of the underground.
