no idea...

but releasing an amazing game followed by a [good but not so good] game in the same series like a month after is a mistake - which game would you go for - wii. Not DS.

definitely wii, but a ds version come out about like 2 years after cause another ssb game might come come out til next-next-gen.
I think it would definitely deserbve a shot on the DS, but I wonder how the control scheme would work on that, being as there are only Four buttons...
Well you don't exactly use MANY buttons on SSBM... but still, it shouldn't be made.
It would be cool to have Super Smash Bros. as a potable game, plus it would be Wi-fi. I actually thought of that idea once but thought nah nobody would listen to me.
i say no, but i would like to see it done, but not the aftermath...
If they do it then it would have to be soon, because if it comes out AFTER Brawl I can just see it not doing too well. But honestly it shouldn't happen... I don't want Smash to be one of those games that gets made again and again and again and again.
i should come have into Wii's cycle. Nintendo has so made it a pattern of only one SSB game per home console ever since the N64. this way theres a game to tide fans over to the next SSB on the next home Nintendo console
Well if you did that you'd be okay with a DS SSB... but really, would we want SSB to take a step back to SSB64 for one game? It would have to have more innovative features for a DS version as well... and I'm not sure if they are ready for it just yet.
i think the SSB on the ds would be the N64 remake with more characters, stage, and bonues. also wi-fi paly is possible
Wifi play would be in it if it was made.
More stages and characters just added to the N64 version is most probable,
But what if it put's people off brawl, and that isthe main reason they are buying a wii, nnintendo would lose a sale, and this wouldnt only happen once.

i guess that makes sense, so i guess they should add exclusive characters to the ds version, and maybe later down the line people can send to character to brawl, or idk.

Yeah, but i think a DS version chances would be good, lost of people would buy it straight away, but if it wasnt a high enough standard then people would be dissappointed.

You forget that over 5 million ppl own a Nintendo DS. I don't think Nintendo would lose that much profit if most of those ppl decided to buy DS smash bros. And besides I still know a lot of ppl who bought crappy PSP ports of PS2 games.

It would be alsome if SSBB on the DS and make them work with each other.
yea kinda like they did with the gba and gcube games, you can trade info between the games to unlock new stuff
And what about those who don't have a DS and a copy of the suggest DS game? Would these unlockables be exclusive to them?
Yeah, most likely they would. But that's the benefit of exclusive unlockables; they make ppl go out and buy something they don't really need to play. It's an effective economic strategy.
It is, but it would depend what sorta unlockables it would get you, like extra trophies and stuff is fine. But levels and characters being exclusive could be unfair to people playing over WiFi who don't own the DS game.
