I own both and i say there both great. The games are awesome and you just cant get the excitement of playin the games that started it all anywhere else
good stuff
I'm hoping to either buy these or do a lot of VC shopping Smile
I also have both of them. Despite it not being in my gaming generation, the SNES was still the first system I ever played. My favorite games (besides the Mario ones of course) were final Fight and Street Fighter II: The World Warrior. Good times...Good times...
Thank you for telling us something that has been said a million times before.

The NES and SNES are the greatest systems.
*Heads to VC and ebay to search for consoles/games*
my friend had a SNES when he was like 3 and he hasnt played it for years and when i showed him an emulator he got super mario world and could remember everything. i thought that was pretty cool.
Wow, that is pretty cool! The power of S/NES!
Snes Kicks Ass!
Hear hear!
Definitely two of the best consoles I could have started out with...of the two, I'd say I thoroughly enjoyed the SNES moreso than the NES, but both had games that still blow me away. The fact that they both have more than enough games STILL with great replay value is enough for me to keep them as my top systems. Oldies that never get old. Now THAT is classic.
I'm not listing any games in particular, but I felt SNES was much stronger than NES. I still enjoyed both, but I think many NES were terrible, with the exclusion of obvious classics. However, I grew up on SNES, and believe it's the greatest system I've played yet.
when nes was the only system from nintendo it was great Wink
Haha random thread but yeah, both the best Nintendo consoles Smile especially the SNES.
Nintendo... my anti-drug. thats good stuff for a commercial
The NES holds a special place in my heart because it was the first time in a long time that I was excited to play a "game". I do think that the SNES had much stronger titles. I could take them both with me stranded on an island and have more fun playing those old games than the new games today. Multi-tap a must!
lol multi tap FTW!
the snes should good down as the greatest system of all time
yeahhz , awsome games, i bought a few from the VC
but theres a difference between playing their games in the VC and in the original systems, in my opinion. I mean, yeah, they're still the same games, but...idk, I would miss the feeling of staring at my SNES and switching cartridges...blowing into it...swabbing with a q-tip...you just don't get the full effect with the VC. Nowadays, you just click a button, and POP, game comes up on the screen. I remember when you had to really work to get the game started. I think that's why I still play the games on the original systems, rather than download them...playing the game was a reward for keeping it cleaned and in good condition.
