If you're an RPG fan, more specifically if you're a Square fan even in the slightest, you'll be doing yourself a big favor by playing through this game.
AT LEAST once, since there are over a dozen endings ;-)

Over a dozen? I didn't think there were quite that many. I know seven for sure, more likely I think there are ten. I guess there could be twelve, but not too many more.
The extra endings are just hidden additions. They're not important to the story. If you really follow what's gone on in the replay compared to the full game completion, some of the extra endings are pretty cool. Some are just for show, like the staff ending. The two original endings are the best ones story wise.
It's so worth it to play through this game regardless. Damn, talking about it so much makes me want to find some way of playing the game. Wish I still had my SNES with me.
good luck finding the game for a decent price though.
