Rockstar has said Xbox 360 gamers will get a better Grand Theft Auto IV experience.
It was detailing the differences in the two console versions and refusing to get caught up in the crossfire, when it accidentally let slip its preference.
"They're identical games. We're not hardware makers, and we're not like a pawn between these companies, we try not to be as much as we can. We make great games for people to enjoy on whichever system they want," spokesperson Hosi Simon told Games Radar.
"But I guess if you want the complete experience with the episodes, then yeah, you should buy the 360, I suppose." Whoops.
He was referring to two episodes that will build on the GTA IV experience exclusively on Xbox 360 - the same ones MS reportedly paid USD 50 million for. The first of these is expected to be available around March 2008.

Oops! Sony won't be happy with that little slip up, I can guarantee. It makes you wonder though, will Sony take interest in paying for these little "exclusive" episodes? We are all aware on how much the company are already putting in to establish their Playstation Network system, and this may just be the icing on the cake.

With this being said I'm not sure how "GTA4 better on 360" makes sense, unless your referring to the downloads that will be available, but we're sure PS3 will have downloads too.
No, they said the PS3 won't have them, and to be specific, they're talking about two extra chapters in the game that Microsoft payed $50m for
They paid $50 for two extra chapters??? Thats rediculous.
Isn't the 360 version getting exclusives?
so when they say chapters, does that mean 2 extra missions with the video stuff and all? if that's what MS got for $50,000,000 (count those zeros) then I think they ripped off.

Bill's kids didn't get their allowance this week for sure
Meant to be getting things to buy on the Marketplace too, which are more important then 'new clothes and characters' (what I read anyway). I look forward to this game more than Halo 3

i dont know much about the extra content, but i consider it an investment. this game on any system is a killer app. for any hardcore GTA'ers on the fence about which system to get, it would have to be the one that gives them the complete experience.
Episodes, not missions. Can we say how long an episode is? We sure can't. So until the release or until some new info about the length of these episodes is shown, we can't really say what MS bought.
Now if you think about it although MS spent a whole lot of money on this exclusive content, I say they'll get some money back once they sell these things in the Live Marketplace. =)
$50 million? Wow! For two chapters? I think Rockstar's the one that got ripped off! They could've asked for way more than that! $50 million dollars is nothing to Micro$oft!
I agree. If I was on the fence about which system to buy and I heard about this I would definitely buy the 360 just for the complete experience. Then again Rockstar is giving Sony its own exclusive franchise thing so...

true. im very interested in seeing what it is. you also have to realize that even though R* makes quality titles, none have sold as well as GTA. that's the game that put them on the map. Bully was also a PS2 exclusive and even though it got incredible reviews and scores, it sold poorly. thats why it's being ported to the 360 and wii. im not saying this new franchise is gonna do poorly, but they do make oddball games that really dont attract the casual gamer.
im getting for 360 already pre-ordered to bad delayed :'(

Damn unlucky.. I was gonna pre-order, glad I didn't now in all honesty..
Well I am going to get it for both the 360 and PS3, and Rumored it might be out for the Wii (Yea right) I want it for the 360 mainly for the controls, but getting it for the PS3 because its just how I remember playing gta 3 for ps2 so it just fits the console.
I'm still gutted about the delay, because this is my most wanted 360 game. Vice City, San Andreas and the two Stories are all great, but I've waited a long time for a proper sequel to GTA 3.
