If Sony is excpecting to sell 10 million ps3s in less than 1 year, then that must mean that there is either a) an extremely cheap version of a ps3 coming, b) extremely good game library coming, or c) they are high
I will hopefully have one by then.
If I have one by Apirl 30th 08', then I believe this, if not, then I vote A, or most lkely of them all C.
of course! It's totally possible for Sony to pull this off! They have a serious AA list coming this year and the price of the console couldn't be better!

I hate to answer a question with another question, but did Nintendo expect to sell 10 million in a year? They've almost accomplished that. And aside from Zelda, Paper Mario, and recent Mario Strikers and Resident Evil, the Wii hasn't had many huge games yet. They're all coming in Q4 and Q1.
I think with games like:
Lair, Heavenly Sword, Ratchet & Clank Future: Tools of Destruction
they'll sell a lot of systems, and remember that last games comes out at the beginning of October, and there's a lot more AAA games coming.

right Kindrik but that's different. A lot of people who bought the Wii wouldn't buy a PS3 because of the price. the PS3 is too expensive for the mainstream.
I don't think any system is a bargain until they get a really good library of games under their belt. So for me, right now price isn't even a factor.
Sony must be out of their minds. Average people who have real financial responsibilities, take those responsibilities seriously, and don't make an assload of money aren't going to blow it on an overweight toy.
When you say assload of money, is that American or Canadian?
Well a lot of people payed $249 for a vastly underpowered Nintendo Wii system, and if we see another PS3 price cut then there's no reason why we won't see many more system fly off the shelves.
Honestly, the ONLY game(s) that will help the PS3 sell is GT5, maybe Socom. I mean those games like lair, ratchet and clank etc. don't really appeal to large amounts of people as halo does for xbox, or smash bros does to wii for example. So yes a price cut will help, but i really don't think that they will have 14.5 sold by april, i doubt even 10mil

Anything can happen with a new price cut and a slew of amazing games. Maybe even around the holiday season the new "movie" format will be chosen and if it's Blu Ray then that will help PS3 sales also.
