It's available at the company's own online store, but Pioneer Electronics USA has begun shipping its BDC-2202 combination Blu-ray BD-ROM/DVD±RW drive to brick-and-mortar retailers as well. Bundled with Corel's WinDVD 8 LE software, the $300 drive can playback multiple Blu-ray formats -- both single- and double-layer BD-ROM, BD-R, and BD-RE -- as well as DVD movies, in addition to reading and writing all popular CD and DVD formats.

The Serial ATA internal drive offers 24X CD-R and CD-RW recording, with 12X DVD±R (single layer; 4X dual- or double-layer), 6X DVD±RW, and 5X DVD-RAM burning. Its software bundle also includes Corel's Ulead VideoStudio 11 SE for DVD video authoring and BurnNow SE for backing up data files to CD or DVD and creating music CDs.

I think this is a pretty good price for someone wanting a Blu Ray player on their computer.
Wait... does this burn blu-ray discs? If so, that seems pretty cheap.

The thread got me excited though, as I thought it was referring to another Blu-Ray/HD-DVD combo standalone player, and then I saw $300, and I got ready to whip out the credit card. Looks like we'll have to wait for the LG model to drop in price.

Same here. But from reading what gft has there it'll only read and not burn Blu-ray discs. I'm gonna hold out for a Blu-ray and HD-DVD combo drive that can burn both types.

Ditto, I also thought it was a Blu-Ray/HD-DVD drive. Seems that "combo" is a misnomer Wink

Personally I think the above linked drive is crap. You can get a HD-DVD drive for only 179.99 MSRP!
