PlayFirst is partnering with Hudson Entertainment to bring some of their casual games to the Wii's WiiWare feature. That's right, ports. They're not new titles, but stuff you can get on the internet. The titles are as follows
- Diner Dash
- Mystery of Shark Island
- Sandscript
- Zenerchi
- Oasis
- Chocolatier
At least they say that they will add more features to these games when they release them...
IGN: Diner Dash and Friends Go Online
More features are always good.
yeah but I wish it was new stuff, not ports. (sounds alot like the first lineup of the Wii)
thats kool and sounds intresting
O well. I just hope they get some better ones sooner or later.
Some of them sound a bit strange for games, but I guess some will be fun.
These are free right?
If so, I'm down with that.
nothing caught my attention
they may not be much, but at least its a start...I wonder how they'll change these games to fit the Wiimote, or if they're just going to go for the regular D-pad moves...
I don't get it, I've never heard of these games. Can someone explain what WiiWare is? I thought the Channels were called WiiWare..Are these like VC or what? Clear it up please
Gahh
In the shop channel where it says Wiisoft ware download, that is wiiware (European style)
Those games sound weird, but I am all for chocolatier

WiiWare will be a its own channel and will give smaller developers the chance to put their smaller games ideas on to Wii without going through retail. So you will most likely see small games, but you could see some fun games. I wonder if Nintendo will put any first-party Wiiware titles up?

I doubt they will be free. These are games developed by small and big companies alike. So they'll want to make a profit. It's Nintendo's answer to XBA Arcade.
Probably want Wii Points for 'em... I hope they turn out more appealing then their names..
Just worth a mention but I recently read somewhere that 'Impossible Mission' will be a wiiware title
Impossible Mission is one of the WiiWare titles and recently some images have surfaced of that game. Since images of this title appeared, it's likely that we'll see WiiWare start this year.

I see it as Wiiware has started already, I think the metroid things recently released are the start of wiiware's downloadable content. Soon maybe it will get its own channel but for now it is in the shop channel I suppose.
