By now most of you have probably already noticed this, but the most users online record was shattered on June 23, beating the November 19 record! Also, according to the numbers, only 407 registered members were not online! What was the occasion?

Hmm. I really don't know what was so special about that day. I really didn't think we'd get more active than we were on launch day.
Most users online shows the number of registered members plus guests that were online at a specific time. Previous records were low only because our server (at the time) could not handle that traffic. Upgrades and more efficient programming since then has allowed our server to handle larger flows at a time. I believe the current record is from a digg article that received a lot of hits. I do know that digg articles before this record had surpassed the launch day traffic. I will point out, though, that digg articles cause a large flood of traffic that slowly diminishes, while the launch day traffic was constant throughout the day.
Aha, so members plus guests. That makes more sense, and then, if there was nothing special, maybe I was online that day. But the question still remains; Why June 23?

dayum....wiichat's is only 2000.... It has 30,000 members, compared to your 4500.... This is very interesting indeed....
Again, we have big spikes (due to original articles), but they have more steady traffic (due to great google indexing).

lol, you should have seen it before i0n(admin) took the pokemon section off of guest privileges (and thusly, google searches)..... that rush was worse than Christmas and November n00bs combined... it will happen on brawl as well....
