ah, we digress...
back on topic....uh...
I need someone to talk guns dangit! Lolz....apparently. Firearms afficianados usually don't hang out on wii forums... don't really feel like finding a dedicated guns forum though. People are too old. lol
and yes, I am a loner.... my interwebs personality is the complete opposite of my RL one... I think it's because of all the racism that's still alive over here....at least partly to blame

um i was jk lol dont take it seriously
lol, I know..aaha. I was just saying it's true.
wow, I hate you all...... *falls in love with linkszelda* hahah
meh, I'm going into my senior year, so it's AP english, Physics, Chemistry, Gov't, and Statistics....
Math has always been my weakest point (why I'm good at english and science, I will never know) And physics is my best area of the physical sciences....which uses the most math. I'm so messed up...
overall...I got pwnt by all ya'll...
@linkszelda: only acceptable in tri-state area? Can I ask where in the midwest you live, and where you went to college? For all of you?
o.O 5 APs in one year? have fun...The most I took was 3/year. i was the only freshman in an AP class, and the teacher expressed her disapproval all three years that I had her (she was the only one to teach any of the higher-level maths)...after that, I hated math. Thank goodness that was the end of the AP Mathematics classes they offered...
My high school is in NY. So when I say Tri-State Area, it's the term we use for NY, NJ, and CT. We had to take an exam, called the Regents. To quote from Wiki, cause I'm unsure as to the specificts myself:
"To receive a regular high school diploma. students in New York State must pass, with a score of 65 or better, five Regents Exams: Math A, Global History and Geography, U.S. History and Government, Comprehensive English, and Biology/Living Environment. To receive an Advanced Regents Diploma, students must also pass an additional science exam, an additional math exam, and a foreign language exam."
If I remember correctly, NY is one of the few states to have the Regents in effect, and they go on your Transcript. When I applied for college, they looked at the scores, and said they weren't important; that what they wanted were AP and SAT scores. They didn't even look at the ACT scores, which is why I never bothered to take the exams senior year.
Right now, I'm going to be a junior in the Art School at Washington University in St. Louis. Of all the carp I had to deal with to get through high school, only my SAT and AP Physics score helped me get in. I was mad, but hey; it was the only school I wanted, so getting in early decision was a huge relief, and I didn't care what they accepted or not...but now i do, cause ive gotta take all those classes over again -_-;;
Ah, I see why you didn't want to type that before. haha
Meh, I've already checked ahead. 3's and 4's will get me out of all core classes at GRCC, where I will take all the crap classes, then transfer to the almighty University of Michigan..... I really hope I don't get as screwed as you did :O
@ the SAT vs ACT. that's really weird. I'm only taking the SAT because I've been shown interest by Yale.... if I score like a 1400 or something, I get a full ride or close too it. haha, fat chance...ah well. Not my test money...
Only Ivy leaguers take SAT's nowadays (which is only 3 years after you...weird)
Edit: oh, forgot to say unlike your situation, all the AP teachers are *gasp* fun...
also, does being so well rounded affect you at all?
I know it does me.... I'm good at everything..but not enough in one subject to major in... it's a royal pain when the guidance counselors come. >.>
nn. if we got a 1400 here, we got a partial tuition...I am guaranteed $25k a year, which covers a little more than half of the cost.
aside from the Math teacher, my AP tachers were great. My Physics teacher let us play with dry ice, microwaves, strobe lights...some of our labs included throwing a computer off the roof of our building, exploding one of those metal garbage bins, setting up an old-fashioned machine that generated a current and running different objects through it (including my palm)...aah, that was definitely the best class ever!
and I wouldn't consider myself well-rounded. Even when I was little, I knew what I wanted to be: a videogame artist.
I'm a thinker, so the maths and sciences come pretty naturally to me...in freshman year of h.s., the journalism advisor came up to me and asked me to write for the school paper for him, so I agreed. Junior year, I became an editor, then senior year I became the Editor-in-Chief (don't let my bad grammar and punctuation fool you; i can whip out my hard-arse editing skills when I need to). For a while I considered taking Journalism as a major, but I talked myself out of it. While I am good, it's not where I wanted to end up in life. Going that route would have led me to ignore what i was truly good at: thinking past the facts. Math and science allowed me to expand on my thought processes, and then I realized that it's all a form of art. If you understand the art involved in them, then they're easy. The opposite is also true; if you truly understand art, then you can see and understand the mathematics and sciences involved deep down. You can understand depth, proportions, shapes, relativity, perfection, etc...That's when I realized that my dream wasn't so far out of reach anymore, and applied for the Art School instead of Arts & Science.
I just declared my major as a Graphic Designer, and my thesis will involve a 3D Animation/Presentation designed and implemented using different design programs at my disposal.
Wow, for a University I've never heard of before, 2x 25k is a lot of money.
As for the labs....*jealous*.. i'm still a private school...so not much money for hands-on things. grrr
And IMO, being good at science and math, thinking of Journalism, then going into design....is well rounded. lol
And I must say...I like the deep thinkers... the last girl I uh...courted was borderline crazy actually.....
And I know EXACTLY what you mean...although i couldn't have explained it so eloquently myself... :X
edit: wow, the period key is going to fall off my keyboard any day now.....
that was not eloquent at all...my professors would have bitten my head off if i showed that to them XD
and i think you're safe, having never heard of Wash U. my HS Guidance Advisor didn't even know about the school -_-;;

our chancellor is one of the people that created glow-sticks ^^
Ah glow sticks

Ah, I assume you love this thing
Vertigo - A dance party put on by the Engineering School Council (EnCouncil), featuring an innovative 8'x16' computer controlled modular LED light-up dance floor that students built. The dance floor has since become a hit in St. Louis, and is able to be rented and transported for any event .
I hear the MIT built one is better. haha
.......*wishes he was smart enough for MIT...*
Edit: ah well...you outdid them..

ah, understand the double post...
I hold in my hands...a brochure to Washington University (in st. louis) School of Engineering.
Oh, the irony.
