seeing as this place has a lot more Americans than Wiichat it seems, I'll try my luck here.
Just got my ACT test back....28. Bah.. I was slated to get a 34... I'll retake it a few more times.
Also received my AP United States History test...just a 3... I will only get out of a few classes.
So...discuss any and all standardized tests etc... I'm bored already...
never took the ACTs...took the SAT's before they raised the bar again to 2400 or whatever it is...
SATs: took the thing twice, before they added that writing section in...these were the highest scores in each section (keep in mind the highest score possible was the 1600):
760 Math
710 Verbal
as soon as they said they were adding a writing section to it, and raising the score, i pretty much ignored it. i was gonna take it again, but figured it'd completely ruin me. i got used to the two sections, studied my arse off for those analogies and other word problems, that i was bitter when those parts were taken off. idk how well i would have done on the new one, and i didn't want to find out ^^;
APs:
Calculus AB 4
Statistics 4
Calculus BC 4
Language 3
Literature 3
Physics 4
World History 2
my strong points = math and science, weaker point is history. never really could get into it...and the English ones were just so-so...I didn't put as much effort into those as i probly should have. oh well
if you ask me, these exams are way too long. and there are extra exams that we have to take in NY, and theyre MANDATORY, yet the only schools that would look at them after high school are the ones in the Tri-State area. since I'm halfway across the country, they did squat to help me get into college -_-
It's been a while since I took these tests (I was 14 or 15, was in college by 16), but I do remember my ACT. I got a 31 out of 36 (I assume they are still on this scale), which translates to 1360-1400 on the 1600 point SAT scale, and about 2070 on the 2400 point scale.
act (taken once): 34
sat (taken once):
760/800 (math)
600/800 (verbal)
ap:
5 (calc ab)
4 (chem, comp sci, physics)
3 (stats)
and ap credits were accepted all the schools i applied to (some differing scores were required for exemptions, though) which were mostly in the north east, mid atlantic and west coast. i didn't really think that the exams i took were too long other than comp sci. that one was kind of a joke. the science and math ones had a good deal to test, so i can see why they would be so long.
yeah, thats another thing that got to me. i applied early decision to one college...and the only AP credit they accepted was the Physics, "because it was extremely difficult that year, and only a handful of students got 5's". but with everything else, they would only accept a 5. so all that work, for nothing -_-
wow, I hate you all...... *falls in love with linkszelda* hahah
meh, I'm going into my senior year, so it's AP english, Physics, Chemistry, Gov't, and Statistics....
Math has always been my weakest point (why I'm good at english and science, I will never know) And physics is my best area of the physical sciences....which uses the most math. I'm so messed up...
overall...I got pwnt by all ya'll...
@linkszelda: only acceptable in tri-state area? Can I ask where in the midwest you live, and where you went to college? For all of you?
UofM FTW!
edit: 9th best engineering school in the country

I agree... University of Mississippi rocks!
ah, that reminds me, I haven't said anything about myself anywhere on here. I thought it would just be a get in, get out sort of thing...but I actually like the community here... things like this thread.....

Not only is this guy pretty smart, he's lucky as well. He's the one I had to give a Wii to back in November for winning the launch day drawing (we had a lot of games and prizes, but of course, the Wii was the biggest). At least he stuck around!
I'm in a private school, and I pretty much own everyone in it. I think I can safely say that you guys alone have motivated me to outdo you all....muahhahahahha*cough**sputter**cough**red spongy stuff hits monitor*
ah, you can know that you affected my future...doesn't it feel good?
wow, I drank too much pepsi max today...I'm really wiired atm.....
I went to public school until my last year and a half, and then I transferred to a private school. We had a graduating class of less than 20 people, and 3 of us had ACT scores over 30, with most of the rest in the 20s.
I have a class of 200....but being in Dutch Central (west michigan)....it's a manual labor sort of place.... only a few in the 30's....most under 20 actually. I breeze through it. I wish I could go to prep school in Detroit...

Manual Labor kind of place? I'm from NE Mississippi
At the public school that I went to before, with a graduating class of 100+, the highest was a 26 (as I had already left by the time I took my ACT), and they were 2 years older than me.
well going to college at 16 says something..... did you skip grades early or late?

One in elementary, one in high school. I really wanted to be C/O 2000
Tests? What are those?
The Stuff You Failed In School Now did i jog your memory?
ah, with my birthday being weird, I also skipped 2 grades....but it was preschool and kindergarten >.<.... At least I stayed with friends the whole time... makes finding a girl hard...when you're asian, and girls in your class are both a foot taller, AND 2 years older.... :O
that's why I love the internet. muahahhahahhaha

Yeah... I ended up dating girls older than me for a while... until late high school, and then I started going for younger girls (3 years <s>up</s>/down is my limit so far)... It's strange, but I've never dated a girl "my age".
