A brand new Rockstar franchise is set to make its debut exclusively on PlayStation 3, with Sony claiming that the GTA developer wants to "make a game that you can truly only do on PS3, harnessing the power of CELL and Blu-ray disc".

Shorrock continued, "We are announcing that a new franchise from Rockstar Games will be exclusive to PS3. As part of our long standing relationship with Rockstar, and the incredible success for both companies with the cultural icon that is Grand Theft Auto, we've agreed to the PlayStation exclusive rights of the next great franchise from the Rockstar studios."
While Shorrock was keen to note that GTA will continue its presence on Sony consoles, he added that he was "even more excited about what's to come from the current and future relationship between our companies".

I can't help but get the feeling of fair justice for this one. The fourth installment of Rockstar's flagship title, Grand Theft Auto, was given exclusive content of Microsoft's Xbox 360, behind closed doors and evidently, behind Sony's back.
As for what game this could be, I presume we can't really know just yet. The only details we know as of now is that it is apparently "a game that you can truly only do on PS3, harnessing the power of CELL and Blu-ray disc". This presumably tells us details of a large, open world game, similar to Grand Theft Auto, but perhaps a longer story, and a bigger world to play in, which of course sounds impressive enough for most gamers.
I shall keep you posted with any more news of this upcoming secret title which I find.
