During a Viva Piñata panel at Comic-Con, Rare announced a Nintendo DS version of their well-received (but demographically incongruous) Xbox 360 title, Viva Piñata. A Rare developer answered some basic questions on the PinataIsland.info forum, quelling fears that the title would not be developed by Rare – "Very definately 'yes' on this one. We have a dedicated handheld dev team." – and that the gameplay would be different –"Game play wise, yes. It's the same game ...". Still no word on whether or not the game will take advantage of the DS' Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection.

wow- it's curious to see Microsoft publishing a title on a competitor's platform. would nintendo ever put zelda on the PSP? NO

I hated the game on the 360 >_>

And why did Microsoft announce it?
I want viva Pinata for Wii! Toungue
maybe Microsoft announced it because they own Rare...

and there's no real reason Microsoft shouldn't put games on the DS. it's an extremely smart move actually. the DS is the better selling handheld, and MS doesn't have its own handheld. they wouldn't release something for the Wii because it would take away from 360 sales, but releasing games for the DS isn't taking away from MS's handheld sales, because there is no MS handheld
this may be a sign... maybe they'll allow the release of GoldenEye for VC which would be sweet
pinatas? why maek a game for them
<3 Rare.
Was my favorite company before the move to MS.
