It hasn’t been too long since the last Guitar Hero III details emerged, but today there is a rumour going around that Best Buy has revealed the price of Guitar Hero III and a wireless guitar. While it is still only a rumour and nothing has been confirmed, it is still interesting. Full details on this rumour are after the jump.

If you take a look at the Best Buy website and do some searching, you will find Guitar Hero III with a wireless guitar listed for the Nintendo Wii video games console for the price of $89.99. The price seems pretty reasonable in my opinion, but remember that this is not confirmed, and could be more expensive then this. Hopefully though, it won’t be more expensive.

While I’ve never played any of the Guitar Hero games, I am considering picking up Guitar Hero III when it is released later this year as it looks like it could be a bit of fun, especially when playing online against friends around the world. Guitar Hero III will be available for Wii, Xbox 360, Playstation 2 as well as Playstation 3 later this year.

Yes it is, it costs as much as a console.. -_-
well it does come with the Guitar casing...but I would imagine $70-$80 being the final price point.

And what console costs $90?
not bad, that's £45

it's £70 for the 360 over here
A PS2 is $90.
A Gamecube is $60.
yea too much
Well Guitar Hero II already $90 on the 360. 360 games are normally $60 so that's $30 for the guitar. Wii games go for $50 so if we go by the $30 guitar price it should be $70 to $80 on Wii.
$90 is to much but ya I expect to see the price to be about $70-$80, for the Wii one atleast.
The wii one is wireless though
and if you click on the link it is listed at $89.99 not 70-80 bucks

of course that has been neither confirmed nor denied
The wii version of GH3 is a ripoff. On other systems the entire controller has to be desgined from the ground up including the wireless portion. The Wii version simply reuses the wireless connection and motion sensing ability of the Wiimote. You are essentially paying a premium for something not much better than the Nintendo "zapper"
grrrr....
which is why it shouldnt cost as much as other GHs

60 bucks would be okay
Hell, since we're just getting a shell, it should be $60. But we know that they won't go for that and will price it the same as the others just to bring in more money. And if someone complains they'll just point to the fact that it costs the same on other systems.
Let's not forget Guitar Hero II costs $80 for ps2... which is pretty rediculous. And let's also not forget that GH III isn't being made by the same team. And lastly, perhaps they will have more master tracks, which undoubtedly will up the costs. My 2 cents.
I think, guitar hero is overated... and the price is too much, i dont think its worth it, but... then agian i dont really like guitar hero, i think it should be like 59,99
I probably won't be able to buy it, unless someone does it for me. I can't see my parents letting me spend that on a game, they think $50 is a bit much.
Its way to much, now I probably won't get it.

:/
I think its that not bad. But thats just me.
Eh, i'll say it's too expensive in this thread.

But I'll do my ignorant consumer duties and still buy it no matter what the price is....
