I think it was ment for Q1 2008

Well, I think they might start out a new franchise based around Teen age groups, Nintendo wont do M and they have done alot already around younger gamers.

Aslong as the new franchise doesn't turn out as a cheesefest like some other Wii games, I'm sure everyone will be happy.

This game better be better be incredible. :X Since Nintendo's calling it a "Franchise" and not just "a game", it obviously has to be somewhat good to have a sequel. Have some faith in Ninty.

that seems cool

Why don't they finish off games, first? Like Project HAMMER, instead of Shelving it.

Couldn't agree more..

And I see a great future tordaws the Wii, we just need to be patient, because developing games that can actually copy our movements it trully hard, and freakin amazing!!!! Really Happy

I hope to see that new franchise coming.. I thought that it would be No More Heroes, but oh well Rolleyes

Weel, It IS Miyamoto, So It Hope It's Good.
Well, maybe it could be a more T type game, rather then family, Nintendo has spent a lot of time with family based and such and with games like no more heroes and Project Hammer maybe a more action franchise insted of the usual mario's and such.
I think it would be cool if they took the direction for a T rated new franchise , that get a lot of attention. Project HAMMER and & Disaster: Day Of Crisis look like a step in the right direction for them. And you do know No More Heroes is made by Suda 51 & published by Capcom right Smile

I was just saying with games like those appearing on the Wii, Nintendo may make a T franchise.

They seem to be making games catered toward certain groups, so when they will probably will release this franchise and the T rated franchises around the same time, so everybody will have something to play no matter their age or game preferance.
I wonder if it's gonna be a shooter, or Mario like, or just something completely different.
Metroid will cover the "shooter" aspect of the Wii. I'm just trying to think of genres they haven't touched yet. Does the Wii have a strong puzzle franchise? Maybe an RPG franchise? Who know's. Miyamoto will work some sort of magic though.
i dont think a puzzler would go down very well unless it used the wiimotes full potential and IMO a puzzle using that would be deathly impossible
We all know it is going to be a family based platformer...

I think a puzzle would go down well, I mean look at mercury meltdown and korinpa, quite early 3rd party utilized the wiimote well so we might get a puzzle although a puzzle franchise wouldnt seem right.
