a while back there was a contest called "Dream-Build-Play" for the XNA developers. XNA is basically tools for homebrewed games created by gamers and enthusiasts.

i'll probably buy whatever game gets chosen because i completely support this sort of development. some of those titles look a lot more polished than others and i hope that maybe they'll let the rules slide and choose more than one winner.

i always wanted to work with XNA... but its a pretty penny to join, and it is well worth it too.

Edit: I just looked up this thing. It doesn't cost anything to develop for Windows but it cost $99 for a year subscription to make a 360 game. Oh and you need a 360 to make a 360 game cause you need the 360 to get the account.
Has anyone worked with XNA? Is it easy to use? I was thinking of trying it out...
It requires pretty extensive c# knowledge, but there are lots of resources on the net for you to learn it
Woaaaah Burning Angels actually looks good! Haven't done any research to see what it actually is, but first impressions are good nonetheless..

lol @ burning angels. my favorites were the dishwasher: dead samurai and viduce. hopefully we get to see some vids of all these games in the future.

i think the only way right now is being a part of the XNA club. they can beta test each others games from what i've heard.
