Let me start by saying that I'm a terrible singer. That being said, I always liked played Karaoke Revolution on the PS2 and was very good at it. No I didn't sound good, but I could get the "tone" of the music down.

I hadn't actually heard a lot about Singstar, but I see right that you can get Singstar Pop with two Mics for $49.99.

Has anyone played this game and actually thought it was kind of fun? Are there any Karaoke Revolution fans out there that can give me an UP or DOWN on this game?

This game is heavily marketed down under, so yes. I have played. Its a great party game.

Drink alot of alcohol and hook up the Singstar.

Haha, I could imagine this being fun at a drunken gathering, but the problem being is, that seems like the most fun it would be can't exactly imagine myself/anyone sitting in their bedroom, singing old pop songs to their Playstation though I can't really rate it, based on the fact I've never actually played it

Its a party game. And it doesn't hide that fact.

Yeah I don't think this is the type of game to play by yourself, but LM-X is right...get a bunch of people around and just be stupid, or get drunk and have a blast. I'm looking forward to seeing what Singstar PS3 version will offer.

Great game. Hell if your comfortable making a fool out of yourself in front of your friends you will have a blast! I recommend it.

I might have to pick it up sometime. As I said before, I'm a bad singer, but I enjoy those type of games as does my family.
