*didnt read the above posts*
it hasnt been a year since they've released the Wii or the PS3 so they wont release a CE/LE quite yet.
as for the DS/Lite there have been numerous CE/LE colors and ones based off games, but werent really made available to everyone.
hopefully with some huge titles coming around they'll have some CE/LE's

PS3 CE/LE Games SO Far: Spiderman 3 [i wanted that so bad], Ninja Gaiden Sigma [sweet] thats all i can think of...
XB360: GoW, Splinter Cell, RB6V, Transformers [sweet], Prey, Perfect Dark, Viva Pinata, Madden 06-07, theres more... Im sure fo that.
Wii: nothing. if you count that Sword and Shield LoZ set at target.... then I guess.... 1

I fully agree. I got that LoZTP set for about $20, when it was on clearance.
I always like Collector's editions of things, and Nintendo should do it more often. I'll never forget how I got LoZ: Collectors Edition for a penny without even buying a Gamecube... (And it was also at Target!)

aren't you super lucky. I never got it [or heard of it] because I figured that Target wouldn't have such exlcusive stuff.

Yeah, I got really lucky since my mom shops there a lot. Yet another reason to thank her in my sig
I agree with you though, if I hear of something exclusive like that, Target is one of the last places I would look.

Honestly "Collectors Editions" are bogus now. They're worthless for the most part unless they're signed. Why? Because they are a common piece of junk that have the word "Collector's Edition" stamped on it. The stuff that's worth anything are the things that are produced in such limited number that they really are collectors items. These Halo collectors shams are a joke, they're producing hundreds of thousands of them, so everyone can get them, making them worthless. IF they wanted to really make them a collectors item they would only make 10,000 of them and stop there, but greed prevents that anymore.
The real collectors items are the things that you don't expect to be worth money at the time and not the crap that the manufacturer says are worth the money, unless it's a numbered line that isn't in the millions.

that is true. I emailed Nintendo last night about the issue, so I expect an answer really soon.

I was wondering why doesn't Nintendo offer Limited/Collector's Edition
items for some of the hottest titles. Not to play monkey see, monkey
do, but in the past Nintendo has been pretty generous to offer
collectors/limited editions to some of the best titles they have to offer. Such
as the LE N64 Legend of Zelda: Orcarina of Time. So far for the Wii or
DS Lite, I haven't seen anything like that. Will we see stuff like that
for hardcore gamers that love to pay that extra dollar for the best
ther is to offer?

I certainly miss the hype collector's items would bring. Damn, it was so cool to just buy everything for your console lol. Remember the SNES mouse? MARIO PAINT BABY!
