Are you scared to death of your Console overheating and getting the ROD? Well the new heat sink could very well stop that from happening... But how do you find that out if you have one or not?

Well luckily, Ben Heck posted a tutorial on his web page on how to find out if you do or not....

As well, you can see that his serial code is above 70000 and he has the new heat sink. My code is as well above that and i have the new heat sink...

Ironic? Maybe...

interesting. i went to check mine again, and without having to do so much like the instructions, all i did was shine a flashlight in there and i could see... the old heat sink! looking at my serial code and manuf date, it seems that i messed up with the date. it was manufactured in june 06 (instead of 07), so it's probably another refurb. we'll see how long this one lasts me i guess. lol
