It works exactly as you'd imagine -- just plug it into your handheld and wham! Instant battery life. For the price of about $40, it doesn't seem like a very bad deal, especially if you're on a particularly lengthy airplane or car ride and don't have ready access to an outlet. Otherwise, we don't see much reason for this device as we generally aren't away from an outlet for more than a few hours each day. Still, worth a gander if you take a lot of trips!

I think this is a nifty idea.  For $40 bucks, this is a really cool idea.

cool. sounds like a good investment especially if you go places alot or have a battery that's not working too good.

It seems usefull. I would probably get one if I had a PSP.

So I assume that the cable in the picture ends with a USB connector. But I'm still confused as to how it would connect to the PSP. I see the AC inlet labeled but I havn't seen how a PSP is recharged.

Ok I got a psp last month because of the Final Fantasy Remakes, and I have noticed that sometimes my battery charge lasts for a long time (several hours) and other times for only 2 hours (same game, not like I watched a movie on it).

I noticed that there is a sony brand battery that is supposed to hold more charge than the original battery. Has anyone bought that or the charger listed above? What would be better for the psp?
