So 3 times now, when I go to play a game (happened during super paper mario and twilight princess) after the wrist strap safety screen, the game freezes and a black screen comes up saying "Disc could not be read, please eject disc and reset console". then when I go to reset the console, nothing happens when I press the power or reset button, so i have to unplug it then plug it back in.

I just don't know if I should just not worry about it, or send it in to nintendo before my warrenty expires or something.  Also, I can still play games, this only happens randomly.
If it happens again send it in.
Send it in right now, IMO.
sorry i meant its happened 2 times, typo.

and also those two times happened in the past 2 days, and i've had my wii since may
I used to gets things like that alot with my gamecube.
If it's happened with different games, then it's probably not a bad disc. If it's not a bad disc, it's a bad console. Problems like this rarely get better. Usually they get much worse.
I'm sure its fine Smile
Send it in...

Its all free and thats what happened to me and its working as good as new!
Contact Nintendo and if they dont help at all send it in.
What Snare said. Call or email them first, then send it in if they don't reply/help.
This has happened to my unmodded console a couple of times, but I can't remember specifics. Cleaning the disc usually made it work again.
It could be the discs, but I don't see why it would be happening with 2 of them, unless you've scratched them in some way.
well the super paper mario is a rented disc from blockbuster so it migght be scratched, but my zelda disc is pretty much in mint condition
This happened to me with Super Monkey Ball a few times now, just hold the power button for about 10 seconds and it will power down, than I just restarted it, and all has been well since.
contact nintendo and get their opinion on it.
Yeah send it back before your warranty ends, Why not?
i hardly ever rent games from blockbuster its a waste of money with the condition they are in my local branch... and zelda might just be dirty.

Or... super paper mario might be making zelda act like that if youve used them one after the other...
hey guys i know the prob. its the disks not the console. i know this cause when my friend brought over his strikers to my house it would happen multiple times to me....just on that game. and it was the first time i have ever experienced that screen.

second, its the disk because my friend also got the same messege when he was playing strikers.

so when i looked at the disk, there is this very thin type of plastic on the disk.

ANYWAYS........its just the disks that are not clear.
