I know that saying a game will revolucionate the world of gaming is equal to 1% the chances of something possible to happen, but I think that Metroid Prime 3: Corruption will be somehow a different, new and unique gaming experience. I don't know why, but I think it will be a new Halo, this time in the Wii.
What do you people think about this??
I don't know about a new Halo. It would have to be an FPS game to do that, but no doubt it will at least refresh the control methods of FPS games. After all... console shooters never have compared the PC shooters.
I was expecting a very long report on gaming and such
I don't see metroid revolution coming to be honest, I expct the gam will be good and will help wii first person shooters but I think better games will come out later in the wii's life. Like look at playstation 2, God of War was released very late in it's life so the wii can expect true greats towards the end
Just a little insight there, my two cents.
Like a new Metroid game.
:3
That's very possible a new Metroid could appear late in Wii's life. Something we'd all be looking forward to. Nintendo themselves said MP3 will revolutionize FPS controls and that it was the best on any console. So I'd say it's possible it'll change FPS gaming for the better. All the previews of seen of MP3 have stated the games controls are pretty much perfect, which no 3rd party dev has been able to do with with Wii yet.
Well, IGN DID Say That Corruption Is One Of The Best FPS's Ever Made. But I'm Not So Sure That It's Hype Isn't Like Halo's... Wait... Yeah, Halo Pwns Corruption's Hype.
Yeah, but once people actually PLAY MP3 they'll prolly change their minds. If any of you get the Nintendo Power magazine, read the article called Beautiful Corruption. I was seriously amazed by some of the things he said. My copy has been reserved ^_^
Yeah, the hype isn't there, it is only missing because of Super Smash Bros being hyped and therefor over shadowing Metroid. Tis a shame really.
I don't have NP, but i'm interested to now what was said there. And I've reserved my copy since late June

Nothing will ever come close to Halo's hype.
Well I won't type up the whole article, but a few things I found incredibly interesting (besides the screenshots =P) would include:
Image speed never drops below 60 frames/second
Played for 6 hours-still only 19% completed =O
Revisiting old areas doesn't seem as pointless as in the previous two
Doesn't completely change the Metroid style, just adds more to it
So...yeah. When I actually find the article I might remember more but that's what I can think of at the moment ^_^
Everyobdy's saying it could rival Halo, so I say it has a good chance of taking gamers by storm.
I never liked the other ones, so I probably won't like this one. And I definitely don't think it will rival Halo.
I think this one will be better then the other two on the GC because you won't have to backtrack near as much as before. I'm just gonna hold off judgment till I can actually see it really being played.
There's nothing wrong with the backtracking. If you don't like backtracking, then give up on Metroid. Because its been there since the earlier games.
Well what I can say, being both a huge fan of both Halo and Metroid, is that Metroid looks like it'll bring more to the table. I'll be willing to put money on the fact that over 90% of the people who buy Halo 3 couldn't care less about the storyline. They're only interested in getting online to blow the crap out of each other.
On the other hand, Metroid fans are coming in expecting a great single player storyline. That takes far more work than creating a great online experience.
When I watch videos of Halo 3, all I see is more of the same. More shooting aliens, blasting people online and the general badassness of Master Chief. Yet when I see Metroid Prime 3 footage, I see new stuff that I haven't seen in the previous two games.
To me, Halo 3 just looks like a graphically updated Halo 2 with new features. Metroid Prime 3 looks like a graphically updated Metroid Prime 2 with a better storyline and Wii Remote controls.
Just what I think...
Ninjarooster... I couldnt have said any better.
