I have had enough of "cooking with mama" and "happy feet". yes i understand that Nintendo wants to make game that apply to everyone, but "cooking with mama" does apply to a 17 year old such as myself...

you can create those kinds of games, as long as you have T rated games, or even FPS or RPG or ANYTHING that isn't meant for 10 year olds..

I want games like Golden Eye back, N64 did a nice job of having a wide range of games. Rated E, T, and M. why cant the Wii do that? if the parents of some of these kids don't like those kinds of games, DON'T BUY IT FOR THEM THEN, thats why we have ESRB ratings for...

Does anyone else agree with me on this?
I didn't care much for Cooking Mama too much on the Wii, but when I played with a group of people it was fun.

I've been playing Excite Truck, and was hoping that Boogie would be a good next purchase, because I need something new, but sadly thus far it's gotten very poor scores from what I've seen. 1up.com editors give it a 3.

Metroid will come out soon, and towards the end of the year you'll find more games to your liking. I hate to say it because I understand what your saying, but you'll just have to be patient.
Metroid will most likely solve this problem for the time being, and more will come, such as Project H.A.M.M.E.R. Like gft said, I know where your coming from, but hopefully this issue will be solved in good time.
yeah... my wii *ahem* "stockade" is only 4 games strong (and thats includinhg wii sports). i was so excited when RE4 came out i bought it on release.. all the other games have been gingerly treading online, crap movie games and useless party games (theyre useless because im the only one in my family who really uses the wii). im looking forward to mario kart wii adn brawl (as is everyone else) and i cant help but feel slightly dissapointed with the zapper because it seems just to much of a gimmick... anywho nintendo better buck their ideas up...
I think this whole issue is why Nintendo is releasing VC games every monday. That's probably suppose to tide us over till our games come out.
If I'm not mistaken, we have MP3, SSBB, and Galaxy all coming out in the next four months. While I agree that the drought has been rough (I have only been playing Tennis and Excite Truck lately), these three should be the start of a chain of quality titles released from here on.
Sorry for being OT, but I wish we could play Excite Truck online and against each other...the game is cool to begin with, but if you could have 4 or 6 wiiloaded members playing against each other...
not if you live in the UK you got bloody cooking shizzle until 2000 and shizzling 8!!!
Ya, the only game that I have even found worthy of a purchase for the Wii so far is Zelda. Nintendo is doing good, but they are forgetting about the "hardcore" gamers. Sad
yeah i thought wario ware was the only slightly good party game so i got that and lol it makes me laugh inside
Heh, thats why i bought my Elite!

But not to worry, the wii will have some great games coming like Metroid, Galaxy and Brawl...

Just give the wii a chance to get back on its feet!

Hopefully you're right on that. If anything could do the trick, those games can. And if they can't then Nintendo's in trouble and I'm buying a PS3. I can't believe HAMMER's been cancelled. I was actually considering buying that. >.<

Since when was it cancelled! Can I have a link?

Man, I agree... at least more than 2 people locally, or 2 with computer players also, or SOMETHING!  The only reason I play those two games so often is because we have company over alot, and they love drink and play those two Toungue (the girls usually go for excite truck, while the guys get ultra competitive in some tennis)

Theres a game called cooking with mama =S, Wtf, i wanna buy that
They're riding the public wave. The onslaught of non-gamers, I guarantee, that bought the system around the holidays, will likely not play it as much, and may even drop it after a good year or two. They really want to hold on to these players, or at least profit from them while they can. Besides, as Joker said, we have our top quality games (Metroid, SSBB, SMG) coming out this year, with more titles to follow in 2008. I do wish there'd be Mario close to system launch, though.
Project HAMMEr looked cool, but a good action game like DMC or GoW for the Wii wil be Dragon Sword.... that will rock your socks later this year!

but i do unerstand, but soon Nintendo will pick up the ball, there are generally more casual gmaers then hardcore gamers. get hose guys in the market and then they are set.

Technically it hasn't been cancelled, rather its apparently only on "pause", according to an interview with Beth Llewellyn (PR director) at E3:

Quote:
AMN: Why are games like Disaster and Project H.A.M.M.E.R. not being shown?

Beth Llewellyn: We shifted development resources. However, Disaster: Day of Crisis is still in development and coming along nicely.

AMN: So is Project H.A.M.M.E.R. canceled?

Llewellyn: Development resources have been shifted for the time being, but it may come back. But right now, it's not a focus of ours.

AMN: So it's not currently in development? Is it on pause?

Llewellyn: Uh... probably... yeah. Again, we shifted our focus. Some games have shifted development resources.

Whatever that means. Take it for what its worth.

The Wii will have nice range of games from Nintendo and 3rd party developers alike in time. You can't expect them all to be used to Wii's hardware within the first year. For the rest of the year there's a lot of variety, MP3, SMG, NMH, Dragon Blade, Zack & Wiki, Dewy's Adventure, Nitro Bike, MoH: Heroes 2, SSBB to name a few.

The game for coming this holiday then is Nitro Bike from Ubisoft. It's being produced by the same person who did Excite Bike 64. It has online multiplayer. It looked like there could be 1 people online at once racing.

Dragon Blade: Wrath of Fire, but the game looks awesome and it's coming out September 25th. Also No More Heroes later this year looks promising.
