does anyone have, or know of a painting tutorial for the wii. i know they have them for other consoles(360) but the wii has a much smoother surface, and i assume there are other steps to make the paint adhere properly. anyone?
Why don't you just get a skin? That way you don't have to worry about painting it, you won't void your warranty and you can remove it if you decide you want to.
I'd rather paint it myself. its half the fun, and i can make it exactly what i want.[/u]
PAINT THE WII :o never heard of that.. why would you want to do that anyways, wouldn't it get ruined =S
*gets out some paint and water*
Don't think people have ever really tried painting it >_>
Googles pretty helpful though...
no, google isn't helpful, that's why im here.
I think it was Lilalfa (if you're reading, sorry I misspelled your name) who customized her wii by hand, maybe she saw some tutorials
I'd suggest a skin, paint could melt if you leave your Wii on standby, cause it does get warm.
I would never paint my sexy white Wii. I would consider a cool skin if it was really good.
I can only agree with Ninty-Wii. It's just too sexy like this Wink

But you really want to paint the Wii, personally I would rather spray it. Brushing it would be quite hard I think. Most colours wouldn't stick either. I could imagine that lack colours would stick, though.
The only thing that I can think of is if you could somehow print off a skin and photoshop the skin on the sticker.
i would find a solid color skin and paint that instead.

if not... i'd probably use acrylic paint for that surface. i'm not 100% sure, though... that's why i'd paint a skin instead
Wouldn't Painting it..mess it up or something?

Skins ftw
I suggest you airbrush it. I have a Iwata HP-C airbrush with the Iwata sprint jet? compressor. I airbrush motorcycle fenders, repair scratches and dinks from cars, I also airbrush trucker hats, skateboards etc. It goes on smoothly and not thick like spraypaint would. Drips are minimal if you know what your doing. I think you should find a local car detail shop and request what you want done I'm sure they will do it for you. Or if you want to learn its a very useful tool. I've never even thought about airbrushing my Wii (because its beautiful as is) but this is the best way I can think of customizing your console without buying skins and all. I hope this helps

id say thats the best idea so far, failing that id get a skin and paint or spray that, that way you can remove it if you get sick of it or it goes wrong

Yeah, Its not so easy to just pick it up and paint it the way you visioned it. So this might not be your best bet but its alot of fun
Painting the Wii is something I've never heard before..

I'm not sure about it, it may be a risk because you will loose your warranty. Try contacting Nintendo, maybe they will help you out.
