^I agree. However, I doubt that that is going to get a softcore gamer to buy the game...It didn't do it justice. A playable demo would have been simply amazing and would have actually shown the gamer how revolutionary the targeting system is.
that's true also, very true, but since they keep updating the little channel with more and more videos, well, people are gonna start wanting it just like as if it was a demo.
I think they just released this to pwn IGN of America...but at the same time to hype the game a bit.
I doubt ti was just to own IGN of America. But it was very funny timing.
Actually IGN knew about the channel, but they couldn't ruin Nintendo's surprise. Why the article was written the day before it was released who knows.

Matt, I only wish we could have answered this question before you posted your long commentary on marketing for Metroid Prime 3: Corruption. We read it with great interest. It says to us that you care, you love the franchise and you just want more. But it was also a bit conspicuous and disappointing that while you gave great prominence to your editorial, your site then ignored the free, exclusive Metroid Prime 3 Preview videos once they appeared in the WiiWare section of the Wii Shop Channel.

I'm not sure if anybody noticed this, but if you click the blinking blue button on the top right, the video window minimizes. From there you can uncover an image of Samus and on the top it say Metroid Prime 3: Corruption. Also in the minimized window there are 5 squares instead of 4 when the video was maximized.
there are two pictures back there :3 click erase and reveal the image again...it might take a few tries, but there has been a second image back there since the beginning. i keep looking after every update, but so far those are still the only two to be seen.
few things i noticed in the videos so far -
-Samus is in a blue and purple suit (we think) in the Spiderball video. thanks to lmx, it seems like a confirmation of her Gravity Suit
-the phazon enhancement device is what causes the corruption. it gives them a boosted armor suit. apparantly, it's affected space pirates before, and is only now starting to affect the soldiers. My guess is that if they use the enhanced form too much/long, then it starts to spread throughout their body, corrupting them. but if they can exercise a certain level of control over it (like only using it in practice and then disengaging), they're fine.
-if the Energy Pack she injected in the last video is what causes the corruption to begin, then they've proven that it's ammo/energy based. every time she shot, the bar went down...but it stayed still when she held fire. if my assumptions are correct, that bar replaces her health meter. my guess - if she's shooting and the bar goes down to 0, she dies/becomes corrupted.

Like I said, its possible. Her Gravity Suit is typically Purple with the little lights on the suit being Blue. The Yellow and Red parts remain the same, which I didn't see in that trailer... although maybe it was the poor lighting and/or they may have redesigned it.
I also remembered that in Echoes there was no Gravity suit, Samus instead collected a Gravity Boost for her suit without needing a whole new suit. Though this may have been because she needed Dark and Light Suits for Dark Aether's atmosphere thus leaving no room for a seperate Gravity Suit.
Time will tell.

I agree here, it reminds me of back in Metroid Prime 1 when the Space Pirates were experimenting in Phazon Mutations. We've seen what it is capable of, however Phazon infected creatures have a much shorter lifespan according to the Space Pirate logbooks.

This is possible, the other possibility is that maybe she will just return to normal and lose "x" amount of health. I heard Retro were making it easier than MP2 (curse them! MAKE IT HARDER!) so I'm not sure if they'll let something like this happen. If they do, they'll give you a pretty big hint towards it happening.
i think lz is right when she says that she dies. its almost like goku when he turns super sayan, if he would use it for too long he would probably die of exhaustion. of course in the show he wont die for that reason but if it was real life that would happen. i think she wastes 2x the amount of energy she normally uses.
No doubt she does use more energy. Phazon Enhancement would exponentially increase the energy output of her suit.
