im looking to pick up boogie next week when i go to get my copy of madden 08 off of reserves on 8/15

now, i see that it comes with a microphone but what exactly is the microphone hooked up to? is it USB? is it incorperated with the wiimote?

id assume USB like karaoke revolution was for ps2 but the wii is all about wireless? would kind of defeat the purpose no? what about blue tooth (as far fetched that is)?

so like i wrote, how do you play 2 player on a game that doesnt offer extra microphones to buy? cant just share one! thats so lame! lol

ETA- i have a game called "odama" for gamecube and it came with a microphone thats wired and in the shape of the gamecube memory card. would that work too???
The answer to all your questions.

Well....most of them.

Yes it is two player and yes the microphone will be wired plugged into the USB. Im not sure you can play with two people singing. I think its one player dances while the other person sings.

And no your microphone for your gamecube will not work for this game.

I hope this helped. Smile
youre now my god Smile

i didnt think it would work TBH but you know its the possibility of a long shot! Smile or as my favorite expression goes "hey, ya never know" - the NY lottery

i think on the gamestop discriptions it said 2 player but then agian it was late at night, i didnt go to bed since working the night before, and i would of just been misreading and being retarded lol.

thanks for the information! Smile
No problemo! *feels almighty powerful because iam a god* Toungue

I can't wait for this game even though its received mediocre reviews.

thats what i was afraid of....but in truth, i want it for the microphone if anything. eventually itll be used for more than just that game right? so hopefully in the near future itll pay off even if i dont like the game.

besides i read the play list of songs and half arent that bad. they are your a-typical karaoke party songs. sounds like it has potential to be somewhat of a good time to play

you guys don't have to go as far as blu tooth and all that, you simply connect the microphone in the Gamecube controllers' slots...it's still an assumption, but I truly believe it will be that way....I still admit I have the high possibility of being wrong since the game already came out and some of you who have bought the game know better than me....so I'm sorry
2 Player... That could be a nice experience to share with someone or a huge disturbance.

The microphone will NOT connect into the gamecube controller slots. Its confirmed they use USB. Smile

oh the USB...well that's better. but I think I will wait till Boogie 2 comes out, hopefully with online play.
For you guys/girls thinking of getting this let me just say "STAY AWAY FROM THIS GAME LIKE THE PLAGUE". I picked it up (see my other post in the games section) and the dancing is pathetic. Though I haven't had the chance to use the mic yet I can tell you the dancing is trash. I've heard that the mic is just as ridiculous and that you can just make strange sounds instead of actually singing.

yeah i looked at the box and i think i was side tracked by the dancing "sea monkey" looking thingy on the cover lol.

i figured it would be a "cute" game to get for someone younger. its not really targeted for my age category and friends that come over. reminds me of cooking mama. i remember wanting that but it also sucked. very childish.

also, i wasnt expecting dance dance revolution type dancing. i heard its all sensor anyways taht you hold on to the wiimote???? kinda lame. also would of been better if the microphone wasnt USB Sad more wires and i hate wires now that i have the wii!!!!!! haha.

ill wait till dance dance revolution comes out in september (right?) and maybe JUST maybe theyll come out with a karaoke revolution for the wii or something.

this reminds me of "britneys dance beat" for PS2 with a little "american idol" BLARG!!!!! (bought britney for 2$ i couldnt resist at gamestop used and american idol was 5 used haha like a year ago SO LAME)

I will make sure I stay clear of this game...
