ive seen videos online that have people using usb keyboards to send wii messages but i tried this and it didnt work, are there certain keyboards that you would need for it to work ?

It should work with any USB keyboard, I think. There must be something messed up over on your side of things. :l

its weird because my keyboard has power, the caps lock button lights up, but it just wont type.

Works great here, with an old USB Apple iMac G3 keyboard (the one I use for my PS3). Now, if it would just let me use a USB mouse...

I plugged it right into the back USB ports on the Wii, then turned it on. Went to "write a memmo" and it works. It's pretty cool too, the on screen keyboard shows what you're hitting as you type.

Shame this isn't working with the internet channel. They should allow you to in the next update I think.

ETA- but doesnt the game cube keyboard work for the internet?? what about blue tooth?

there's a Gamecube keyboard? cool...I won't be getting keyboards, though, if I want to type then I'll use the comp. I only use the internet channel to view videos and and pages.

Nope. Not every one will work. I've heard good things about Mac keyboards though. There's no list telling you which will work and which won't. It's just hit or miss and you hope you get lucky and your keyboard works.

EDIT: No f***ing way that keyboard's real. I looked online and it kept popping up at some retailers. If it's real, it looks pretty sweet but I don't see what it would be used for. It would've been great for an MMO.
