Some of the new Naval units shotting up a jet!
One of the many great features of the Nintendo Wii is how the game uses the wiimote. The wii mote for this is used manly for motioning commands to units and selecting units. The graphics on the first game weren't so hot. But now, the wii will bring on crisper characters, larger, better, fuller environments, and more detailed vehicles.

Some old characters will be returning along side new ones!
Tricked into believing that the Solar Empire is developing a devastating super-weapon, Commander Pierce and Colonel Windsor of the Anglo Isles launch a pre-emptive strike on the Coral Atolls. The world is once again at war. This is sadly all that has been announced about story so we will have to hold our breath for the next batch of info. A great addition though to the second in the series is the ability to play as more than one nation! The first Battalion wars only let you play as the Wester Frontier. Now i will finally be able to shot up the Xs with the Solar Empire!!

A Solar Empire gunman shotting it up! Wooot!!
The game also features many new units. Now it combines naval ships into the game (a feature many missed in the first). As well, there are new air, ground and tank units to command!
The game features a series of online multiplayer modes, including Assault (instant combat), Skirmish (tactical depth), and Co-Op (Work with friends.)
Check out why Matt C. from IGN is so excited to see this game come out!

Simply, I loved the original Battalion Wars and the sequel looks to be much improved. You both control an individual soldier and can command entire squads on the fly. The action is relentless and the graphics are very stylized. BWII boasts fresh units and vehicles, brand new naval squads, and an in-depth online mode for versus and cooperative play. Best of all, new Wii remote-enhanced control makes possible a tighter degree of sensitivity and accuracy than ever before. Simply point with the remote to select squads and give commands. Now that I've sampled Wi-Fi Connection with Strikers, I can't wait to play with and against friends over the network.
Now, if all thats not enough to get you excited, then check this video made personally by me!
