Yeah it might be if it didnt break down so much.
Its sounds like it could be a very fun console but Id still go with a PS3.
I know it would last longer.

why would you say a few years? i'd say in about 9 months or so, ps3 will be the better console. (IMO!!!!!)
towards halojames: I agree with u about halo 3 being better than killzone 2, but just wait, the ps3 games WILL get better. (exept for the fact that halo3 will rule all...)
Well for starters with a one-year lead the Xbox 360 already has a far superior library of games.
In the next 6 months or so the PS3 major exclusives include Lair (not very good according to early reviews), Heavenly Sword, Warhawk (online-only), Ratchet & Clank Future, Unreal Tournament 3, Uncharted, and maybe Metal Gear Solid 4.
The Xbox 360 will get BioShock, Two Worlds, Blue Dragon, Fatal Inertia, Project Gotham Racing 4, Eternal Sonata, Halo 3, Beautiful Katamari, Ace Combat 6, Mass Effect, Lost Odyssey, Splinter Cell Conviction, and Condemned 2 for exclusives in the same time period.
So considering that the 360 has a better lineup of upcoming exclusives while already having a superior existing lineup, it will take more than 9 months for the PS3 will have a better library, if ever.
just get all consoles and be happy like me

In my oppion, i think that the PS3 isn't worth it at the moment...
One of the reasons i picked the 360 over that is cause the PS3 dosn't have quite as big of library of games or as strong online.... But then again PS3 dose have Warhawk... >.<

Also the three rings of death, $60 games, and pay-to-play online doesn't really seem like a "better deal" to me.
Bingo. Eventually the Wii is better spending wise. Its intuitive ways keep it going. 360 has been out for a while now and therefore needs a price drop to stay in the running. Nintendo will eventually down the price of the Wii, but for now, it'll stay at $250.

same. i tried a ps3 thinking it would awesum but its just not¬_¬ and there is no way im spening £400 odd quid on a games console... id rather have a laptop

think of it this way, that $10 dollars extra goes to the fact that they are worth buying at that price. unlike most of the stuff out for the wii right now. (hopefully more good ones will come out though)
as for the online its 100% worth having xbox live, its undisputed and unanimous. i mean comon $5 a month is nothing. if the wiis online is even 1/4 as good as live is which it probably wont be since it doesnt have a HDD id pay for it.
i owened them both and right now i have to say xbox 360 > Wii.
maybe with time my oppinion will change but with devil may cry 4, virtua fighter 5, resident evil, halo3, fable 2, almost all the big name games coming out for the xbox 360 it probably wont.
(and yes the wii has brawl which will be SICK! but when compared to the numbers of big name games on the 360 its light shines dim.)

i think if wii utilises its online functionabilty then it will be worth the money more so that the 360 as nintendo wifi is free. and dont you have to buy an ariel thing for 360?

I can think of a few reasons to buy a PS3.
-Metal Gear Solid 4
-Final Fantasy XIII
-Final Fantasy Versus XIII
-Future Kingdom Hearts game
But I'll end up with all three by the end of the generation.

Yeah, thats exactly what I think. But I will not dismiss the 360 altogether because I have played it at my friend's place and thought it was pretty cool.

id rather play halo 3 then killzone 2 any day

It's odd how much you talk about playing your 360 halojames and yet right below your avatar it reads "needs a 360 by 9/25".
Anyhoo, I think once the Falcon chipset comes out and if it's able to take care of the hardware issues, then having a 360 prices the same as the Wii will probably give Nintendo some headaches. Though that could force Nintendo to drop their price. So either way the gamer wins.

Like my Elite has the new heat sink and i haven't had any problems at all..
Besides there is a 3 year warranty now! By then everything will work great!!
IMO gamers will go for:
wii=casual
360=hardcore
PS3=sony fanboys
