For what it's worth, come 2009, PS3 will be destroying 360 in terms of game quality.

I'll buy a PS3 before a 360. Unless Microsoft can address these "red rings of death"

Until they do, the 360 isn't worth anything to me. I don't feel like buying a console that has a reputation for dying constantly and needing to be sent away.

They have addressed it. Last month.

Actually NO.  The "new" 360's released with HDMI do not use the Falcon chipset.

Actually, the new Xbox 360's have the new heat sink...
(Just go here to check it out... I did this and i have it on mine)

They also stated a while back that Falcon would not be here untill late fall...

So your saying that Microsoft released a new SKU before actually releasing the new Falcon 65nm SKU?

Does that seem kind of odd if they're suppose to release a new system with smaller/cooler processor and gpu at the end of fall? Don't you think the average consumer may be mislead into believing they're getting the falcon chipset now, because it's rather peculiar to release a SKU and then another one a month or two later...

"just look at killzone 2" more like
i think the wii is a lot better
I agree. In almost every category. The 360 has its advantages, but I like the Wii more for now (But when will they come out with a hockey game for it?!).
The 360 is a better value. Although some may feel the Wii is more fun, it's actually a racket when you think of the price.
It really depends on personal preferance. Everyone will think one or the other is best. It's a close race, but when you get down to it, it's which you will enjoy more.
I think all three consoles are the best for their own reasons. But none of them are good enough to really be worth owning at the moment. That will change next year though.
Well what I believe is that right now the console war consists solely of the Xbox 360 and the Wii. The PS3 doesn't have enough games to justify buying it yet and the thought of purchasing a PS3 right now and waiting for all the good games which come out in 2008 doesn't seem like a good idea to me.

Say what you will about it, but in a few years the PS3 will be destroying the 360. It has way more potential than the 360 will ever have, a product of Micro$oft racing to get their next-gen console out too fast. Eventually Sony will catch up and surpass it, leaving it and the Wii to duke it out for the rest of the way.

Xbox Live may be better than any other Online service now, but just wait till Sony gets their ball rolling. Their online service, which will be free, will be as good or possibly better than Live. And we have no clue about Nintendo's online service, which could potentially swoop in and kick everyone's ass. (doubt it but then again Nintendo's done stuff like this before)

Anyway, that's just IMO. You don't have to think the same way I do.

For the record, the Wii is the same. Until MP3 of course, that's the first game that'll be worth owning for months. Mario Strikers is meh, Super Paper Mario is good. Twilight Princess should have stayed a Gamecube game.

Most other Wii titles are second-rate movie cash-ins or crappy party games that don't last longer than 5 minuets on your own.

The recent setback of exclusivity to HD-DVD could severely hurt Blu-ray. As long as there's this war, there's a good chance that production of Blu-ray discs could still be costly. (Although the price of hardware will plummet).
That's bad news for the PS3.
the PS3 !IS! bad news ¬_¬
No, it really isn't. PS3 is going to be an excellent system come mid-late 2008. Which is only going to be about 6 months later than it took Wii to be an excellent system.
I still say that since 360 has the great online services and the great games, that its owns up PS3...
Both of their online services own up the Wii.

Besides, Microsoft specilised in online on the XBox. So of course its going to be awesome.
