This is a pretty useless post. But it's not like there's a whole lot else to talk about at the given moment.
I am fairly certain Iwata or someone even referred to the Wii as new-gen waaaaaaaaaay back...
I correct myself, he said the Wii wasn't a next-generation console as that implied it would be taking the same road as the other two. He referred to it as a different kind of console.

Who cares if it's "next-gen" or "new-gen"? It's been out for over six months now, so it's hardly new or "next" anyway.

The Wii is next gen. New-gen sure but the fact is its still next-gen even if its not as powerful as the 360 or PS3
