just because he calls button mashing primitive doesnt mean he is calling you primitive for button mashing
i mean of course the VC games would suffer from motion controls
but new games pale in comparison between the two game controller styles
and i would bet the xbox 720 and PS4 will be all about the motion controls, maybe even an improvement...maybe
Perhaps. But this guy has a good point about it, there'as really no reason to do it.
I know someone who button mashes in SSBM.
I think there's a mix-up in terminology. by button mashing, i believe Jack was referencing the fact that older games have buttons we need to press to get anything done, versus some of the newer games that don't involve buttons at all.
buttons are necessary. i dont care how advanced motion sensing is, it will not work for every game. for certain games, yes, it would work. Wario Ware and the like could really benefit from all-motion controls. however, games like Metroid, Zelda, Smash Bros....games that require accuracy, games that require you to utilize different menus and weapons and attacks NEED buttons. How would you switch between a sword and a bow without buttons or at least a D-pad or analog stick? there are limitations to what you can do with solely motion. even if you were using the motion to draw a bow, how would you release it? you could draw back on the control, but you'd need to press a button to let it fly.
when i hear the term button mashing, i think of the many fighting and shooting games that utilize 10 button combos and this button to reload and that button to choose a weapon...
dont think he want to get rid of the good ole a and b button...just the x, y, z, xx, yy, zz, etc.
Like I said earlier, I believe fighting games flow better with buttons. I find it much more accurate to use buttons to pull of combos instead of swinging the Wiimote.
True, most of the fighting games have not integrated motion control well.
