It happened. Even with a year headstart, the Xbox 360 has been eclipsed by the Nintendo Wii in sales. According to independent tracker Video Game Chartz, the Wii just passed the 360 this week. Got a numbers fetish? Here's the breakdown:
Wii: 10.57 Million sold (3.46M Japan, 4.24M America, 2.87M Others)
Xbox 360: 10.51 Million sold (0.43 Japan, 6.75 America, 3.32 Others)
PS3: 4.32 Million sold (1.13M Japan, 1.87 America, 1.32 Others)
Now if only nintendo could produce more consoles, their lead would be massive.

Thats amazing. Within less than 1 year, they are already half way to tying the gamecube sales (which were at about 21 million I think).
I think that when the sales start slowing down (whenever the hell that will be), then they are going to release colored ones, to help boost back up sales again. Then maybe a Wii Light? doubt it, but one can dream right?
Theres nothing stopping Wii at the moment. We all knew this was going to happen, it was just a question of when...
They'd better get ready, Halo time is close.
But Metroid is also released...And then there is Brawl and Galaxy.
I don't think that any game coming out anytime soon is going to help boost Wii console sales, because Nintendo is still selling pretty much every console they make

the Wii just recently broke the Playstation 2’s record for fastest total console sales to reach 1 million. But here’s the interesting part, the Playstation 2 held the record with 1 million units sold in 50 weeks. The Wii sold 1 million in 38 weeks.
