i jsut got the plasma gun, and i was wondering if there is any way i can switch back to the other gun i was jsut using like in othe rmetroid primes. are you meant to only have one option on your gun (other than missles)?

No, you can't. Beams are stackable (which is better, imo) like in the old school Metroid games.
After watching several videos and reading (and watching) some reviews I have come to the assumption that I not only want the game but NEED it, so expect to see me hanging round here a lot some time around October 26th.

Sorry for double post and bump however;
I just got the PED suit, sent to Bryyo to activate a satellite. I get to Bryyo and hit a point where I can't go further; I fly to elysia to see if that helps and I hit a point where I'm stuck here too. I'm at morph ball point that is a stature with vines around it.
Help.
You can't go any further into Elysia until you have obtained the "Hyper Ball" upgrade from the Seed boss on Bryyo. So your objective lies somewhere on the planet's surface
