Take-Two Interactive, developers of such controversial video games as the Grand Theft Auto series, Bully, and the recently M certified Manhunt 2 has told everyone's favorite Florida attorney Jack Thompson to "back off" in a recent string of emails. The emails were traded between both Thompson himself and Take-Two's Gena Feist over the content and legality of the Rockstar Games title Manhunt 2.
Below is Jack Thompson's opening e-mail, unedited and presented as is:

Dear Mr. Zelnick and Mr. Feder:
Congratulations on receiving a “Mature” rating for Manhunt 2. You’ll live to regret it (trust me), so enjoy it while you can. I want to bring to your attention the fact that at http://www.rockstargames.com anyone of any age can order Manhunt 2 and receive it, with no age verification whatsoever.
Asking a 14-year-old if he’s 17 is not age verification, now is it? You also know that the use of a bank card as an age verifier is a violation of all bank card agreements, right? Govern yourselves accordingly, if you can.

Mr. Thompson's email is surprisingly childish, especially coming from a veteran lawyer such as himself. It's almost on the same level of maturity as a standard text message sent through MSN or AIM. Personally, I am disgusted at this from someone like Jack Thompson, enemy #1 amongst gamers, adding insult to injury with a line like "You'll live to regret it". I feel that if Take-Two are going to take action for anything abused in the last few weeks, it should be this direct quote. It's a clear threat, and not a fair warning.
Take-Two's VP, Gena Feist replied to Thompson's e-mail with this:
We entered into the settlement agreement because we did not want to engage in unnecessary litigation with you, but I assure you that we will enforce the terms of the agreement if necessary and that any suit will include a claim for our legal fees under paragraph 11.

"Are you nuts?" You can't help but laugh when you hear that coming from a lawyer writing an email to large corporation. It seems like no matter what Take-Two do or say, Jack Thompson is going to continue acting as a bully and dare I say, a child.

Editor's thoughts: Sorry, but when it comes to Jacko I can't help but throw in my two cents. This guy has to be the saddest excuse for a lawyer I've ever had the displeasure of hearing about. He's almost as bad as those ambulance chasing types. I would honestly love to see some gaming company (or anyone for that matter) take put him in his place. I don't care what his psych tests say, there's something wrong with this guy.

Hmm...I'm not sure how to respond to this guy. Ordinarily I'd dismiss him as a mental case but he repeatedly keeps the attention of the gaming industry. Maybe if everyone ignored him he'd go away just like a strange dog that keeps following you around.
Those emails are really childish. He's supposed to be an adult and a lawyer at that? I know kids in 1st grade with better manners than this. Take-Two shouldn't have settled and should've took him to court and kicked his @$$.

im honestly sick of tuning in to hear what stupid thing Thompson did this week...i dont know how he got through law school, aside from his childish arguments that probably made those he went against so tired they just gave up and let him win. seriously, like so many other people that i come to hate, he's using childish and underhanded tactics, pretending to be within the realm of legal rights and actions, trying to get so far under the nerves of just one big name in gaming that they snap back at him, so he can use it against them and the gaming industry as a whole and show that theyre being violent and trying to stop him from revealing "the truth" or whatever he would call it.
